Frossard, Paulin and Musquin would have been an unreal team...

No he raced last week and is racing this weekend. My guess is Musquin is replacing Charlier, maybe on a 350?

We`ll see. He`s like Baggett at MXDN. It`s not his thing.

Musquin has been the weak link for France, shame if Charlier is dropped ,he's been pretty quick lately,I'd be absolutely pissed off if I was him!

Amazing video. It is a scrub from another planet Smile I am very impressed by Paulin here, he is a bit lucky but also REALLY strong to bring back the bike !

Otherwise about team members, it can be a good debate, but nevermind, in all cases, no win for France this year, it could have been different with Musquin / Frossard / Pourcel / Paulin, guys that can run any rider's speed at least for a few laps.

After how the French federation treated him, I'm surprised he agreed to go.

Personally I'd tell them to pound sand. I know Marvin is not that type of gentleman and will step up to help his country in anyway he can. What bothered me was the fact that the guy choosing the team threw MM25 under the bus when interviewed for not taking the event serious in the past and not giving 100% effort. The comments about him not racing in Europe for a couple of years was nothing more than a knock on the nationals and an indication that he's a dumbass. The guy narrowly loses a Supercross title and wins a couple nationals, likely finishing third in points in one the deepest 250 classes ever. These facts tell me the French decision makers need to pull their heads outta of their asses!

Congrats Marvin and hope you wax some ass in Germany! Good luck MM25 Smile

Reliable source, or not ???
CBM is usually pretty reliable source. Doubt he would throw that out there without knowing something.

One sure thing at the moment : absolutely no word about that in Europe or in France now...

Maybe it was until Charlier went and won the 2nd moto in Matterley Basin?

I'm starting to think that maybe Charlier is the better pick... I certainly don't think the decision is as clear cut as before.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Marvin fan and I think Musquin is the better overall rider, and usually I would suggest always going with the superior rider for obvious reasons (the common exceptions being injury and track conditions). However, Marvin's recent form over the 2nd half of the season (particularly the last 3 races) hasn't been up to his usual standards - meanwhile Charlier's looked increasingly sharp as the GP season's progressed. Looking at the results, yes he has had dud motos here and there, but he's also had blinding speed at times. He also won motos in Sweden and Matterley last week; both tracks perhaps not dissimilar in terrain (ruts, tacky, mixed with hard and slick) to Teutschenthal??

Kongols you fool, Baggett and Musquin were something like 2nd and 3rd overall in the MX2 class in the last two MXoN. Hardly not his thing.

2009 best mx2 guy by far
2010 DNFs (if I remember right because of bike problems in colorado)
2011 2nd to roczen (beat wilson and baggett)
2012 3rd (in the sand.. you cant really take that for this years race otherwise Dungey wouldnt be a good pick either)

Charlier is good on his best day but had a lot of crashes this year, not really consistant and before Herlings got injured he was almost 300 points behind him in the standings...
Take this plus he has never raced an mxon race and they already have Tixier as an mxon rookie

I dunno maybe I miss something but I cant really find any reason to pick him rather than MM^^

I agree, MM has pedigree, i just watched Charlier tug round for 18th in the GP, and then win the second race , no consistency, his day must be a wednesday at the practice track , because based on form , he doesnt look like a factory standard rider..

If Tonus hadnt missed the most of the season , and Lupino been so piss-poor(again), he'd be 6th or 7th in points.

It is if you are 2nd and 3rd overall in your class. You only have to be the best in your class in this race and only Roczen beat him in 2011 and only Roczen and Baggett beat him in Lommel.

LMFAO, finishes like that would be acceptable before they changed scoring system. Now it`s a failure for a two time world champ. I thought you were maintaining MX site and were somewhat knowledgeable in MX. I guess I was wrong.
