Movember!

i am part of a team this year that is joining the global Movember Foundation charity in which men all over the world grow mustaches during the month of November. The charity's goal is to help raise awareness and funds in support of prostate and testicular cancer research. Some of you may have remembered when DC Shoes did a big promo for this last year with Pastrana, Nate Adams and some of their other atheletes...

What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 18-35. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved.

and now for the "how the heck is this moto related" department. Well our team - dubbed Team 'Stache-tastic - is comprised of mostly all moto and action sports enthusiasts. Thanks to team members like Donny from FMF, Dano from DVS, Kinamn and Lutes from TWMX, Jeremy from Red Bull, Barlow from Fox, Sean from NoHo Drink and many others - we were able to scrounge up some cool goodies to those that donate. with at least a $25 donation you will get the special Tom Selleck themed mustache t-shirt below. We are working on getting one, big prize for the person with the largest single donation.

Sorry for the spam but it's for a good cause. Especially since this is such a male dominated board, and with the scary figures stated above, chances are good that some of us will probably be dealing with these illnesses at some point in our lives.
