That really sux... Bummed for Jimmy and their entire crew. They had such a good look, it's crazy to me that MS backed out.

I won't be making purchases from them after the way they handled this.

Respect to Jimmy for still having the postive attitude.

Hang tight, rumor has it that Jimmy might still be drawing a nice paycheck from Superstore in the future...

It seems like this happens to JA every year

JA is awesome, MCSS not so much. I too will not buy anything from them now. Rocky Mountain just got some sales!

I tried a few things from them since they sponsored his team but won't anymore. If i don't get it local I usually shop rocky mountain. Great service and support the sport well.

How much does a guy like Jimmy make?
a real job would be a better choice for his future security in the not too distant future...
Starting a company and employing 3 riders and 8 staff members isn't a real job? Pretty sure thats as real as it gets. He only employed himself as a rider bc the team could only afford a rider of his caliper. Do you think he wanted to ride a 250? It was a business decision made as an owner. Explain how your job is anymore real than his.

I will never buy from motorcycle superstore ever again. I have met Jimmy and Greg in Phoenix this year. Just down to earth hard working good people. I spoke to Greg for about 30 minutes about life on the MX scene, Sprinter van problems, and how cool the video series they did was to show us the life of what it is. They worked hard to get the team where it was and MC Superstore backed out. So I hope people from there read this thread and feel the shame they have coming to them.

Good luck to Jimmy and Greg in the near future finding some support.

Based on responses in the thread, the answer almost seems to be to never think about sponsoring an MX team, because if it doesn't work then you're the shittiest place around.

Deal could have had big problems that weren't Superstore's doing, but they're the only one that will be blamed by the lynch mob.......

Really disappointed when I saw this. The whole Albertson crew is awesome. Great people to talk to and for sure a hard working bunch. I will not purchase from Motorcycle Superstore again after the way this went. I think this year they had the best looking bikes in the pits. I loved them.

If i remember correct, it was a co-sponsor issue that ended the deal. I would assume it had to do with Yosh and FMF. Seeing as Yosh wanted to give them the factory 250 support, they would have to use Yosh pieces. JA is a loyal FMF guy. Thats just business

Jimmy was offered to be factory team but would have had to leave Merge which he wasn't willing to do so in turn Super Store left and look for them to be sponsor of RCH Suz.

If a company is not seeing a sufficient ROI, why would they continue so invest? Some of you need to understand business 101 before you want to hang the CEO.

The brand they were riding should be looked at the hardest.

I've seen a lot more riders of a 'higher caliber' than Jimmy get WAY less press. As a sponsor, it's all about getting your name out in front of people. Between the riding videos, mechanic videos, and silly ones, I'd say MCSS was getting a bargain. How often do people see top 5-15 riders doing this? That probably explains the lines at Jimmy's trailer...

These people saying he didn't have a 'real job' should ask Chad Reed how much fun being a team manager was.
