He's gonna be busy. They created a team with the fastest European guy in the world and the fastest African in the world. He will have his work cut out for him!

8 laps for Ap and he is still 4 seconds slower than vlanderen who Only did 3. Didnt 90% of the US fans say that the US riders was better in mud!? . Man talk about a wakeup call for AP after saying ferrandis was his only threat ^^

Its practice. These numbers mean absolutely squat
but it shows how easy those guys can adapt to a new track ...
And you have american riders who know the track, know settings, going out for decent laps to gauge where they are, no need to push in the first practice. Euros, need to get as many laps and data as possible.

It's FREE practice
Do you remember AP being 4 sec off of Ferrandis in any of the races this season?
Thought so

Ferrandis 4 sec faster than Plessinger where he's usually a tad slower. USA guys are taking it easy and will be all business when it counts.

That's exactly what it shows us. People can call free practice "meaningless" all they want, but they have it for a reason, and this is why. USA is still the favorite, but I kinda doubt "home track advantage" is gonna make much difference.

Did plessinger pull off or something? Why does he only have 3 laps to everyone else's 6-7?
matze wrote:
8 laps thought
Yea, as soon as I posted, it finally updated. Timing showed him as only completing lap 3 while everyone else was on 7. Thanks though

The USA Team drew 2nd gate pick, didn't they?

So, arcing it up in practice isn't going to give them a better gate pick.

They (should) know the track better than the other riders, and have enormous sources of info on how the track will break in / break down in these conditions, so going for broke for no productive reason, whilst having that good gate pick already, would be a waste.

The actual Qualifier race results is what counts for Moto gate picks, isn't it? It'a a couple of hours to the riding that counts, fellas.

The thing is that this is the only race where everyone goes 100% with no pressure. Usa Will be faster in quali but starting to look like usa wont win.
