they had a team at colorado mxdn. didnt do so hot.
Yeah, their local hero, Kenneth San Andres, got lapped 3 times in the quali and their other riders did even worse. Kind of hard to get faster being stuck on a bunch of islands riding with the same people, but at least they showed up. They opted not to go to France this year, though. Also, its very hard for the average guy to afford a MX bike here so they have the Filipino equivalent to pitbike racing and its more popluar. They ride the Honda XRM 125 mostly (1400US$ new) and have fun tricking them out and racing. btw, whatever you do, don't tell anyone you have a MX bike or carry it in teh back of your truck. People here get killed for $10, let alone a new race bike. And I live in what is considered a very safe city in Leyte. Smile

Tiger Lacey, Jake Locks, Dennis Stapleton, and myself race in the Philippines 2 times a year. The place is super fun and all the people are really really nice.

Next year I think we might go 3-4 times. The race scene is growing. They just got us four 2012 bikes for our next race in December.

We sold a few of Vicki Golden's practice bikes from 2009 to a guy that ships them down there. His friend owns a track and they send bikes and parts down a few times a year.

Is Glenn Aguliar still involved in MX down there? Last I heard KTM (seriously) was sending him bikes and parts down there. He was their main guy there in the PI for awhile. He'd go race in places like Guam and Thailand back in the day and clean up.
