I liked it. Confirms next bike likely white. Japanese manufactures need to go Jenny Craig weight loss program. 15lbs big difference.

Just glancing at the one pager above, it’s like there was a contest to see who could get in the most smartass jabs at each of the Japanese brands. Even when they act like they’re describing a positive trait, they shroud it in negativity.

Meanwhile, comments on the Austrian bikes read like a press release without a single critical word against any of them.

Seems fair, right?

Unless I missed something when a glanced over it, they don’t even rank them......and yes, a KTM (Husky) wins. Pretty piss poor shootout compared to some of the others.

I love how they rip on the CRF “as it comes” from the factory (despite a free ecu update) but all praise for the GasGas after adding a KTM map switch and different tires than, wait for it... what it came with from the factory.

Crap like this is why I only even mildly entertain Vital and RacerX/Keefer for tests.

Yup, they cant bag on the clutch because Honda gave it a hydro, they cant moan about twin pipes anymore, they SHOULDNT talk about the ECU issues influencing the results as they have had the reflash for sometime now and should be based on that reflash (acknowledging though that it should of been ok from the factory)...so the only thing left is suspension, the forks they rip into are not bad just not exceptional from the factory like 2 or 3 others ..... so 2022 should be interesting.

The aspect of the MXA shoot-out that I like is that they spend a decent period of time and learn what wears out and what doesn't.

I can’t wait until their yearly 125 shootout where they test (now) 3 KTMs against each other and a 20 year old YZ125. Some great stuff there!

They need to add Fantic and TM...and isn't Beta working on a 125 MXer?

MXA has themselves obsolete. Their extreme bias and Jodys ego is so annoying, nothing is really worth reading anymore.

Back in the day they use to be pretty close. in recent years, however, they must be riding different bikes from the ones I own cause they are completely off on most things they say.

Plus everybody has figured out the trick of them travelling to Japan, seeing the next years bikes at the factory (cause bikes are always built a year in advance) and then coming back and acting like THEY got the factory to change it.

That first paragraph before the shootout is horrible. I had their arrogant thinking that they are better than anyone else that does shootouts. And what makes them more qualified testers than anyone else? They never miss a shot at trying to make themselves look better while shitting on everyone else.

Things I don't like about MXA: its impolite to talk about how awesome you are. If you have to talk about it, you usually aren't.

Things I like about MXA: they are usually right about bikes, even when I don't like that they are right. I used to hate them for being "Honda biased" back when I bled KX lime green, then I bought a CR and realized they were right. Same story repeated over the years for me.

These all seem to be quotes from the single tests in a mash-up here.

From everything I've seen, heard and read...including MXA and notably Ping's comments on the "chassis feel & performance" of the GasGas...? Well, between it's price and performance...it's THE winner, to me.
