The thread about the Australian GP made me remember a road trip my mate and I did from Brisbane to Perth and back in 2014. We towed the bikes behind my ute and rode everywhere we could on the way. Was wondering if anyone else had awesome dirt bike road trip memories?
It really made me appreciate how amazing this country is for dirt biking, and of a few outstanding tracks I never would have discovered if not for the trip. Some highlights included a old cobber in South Australia who let us camp on his property for a few days and ride his fantastic private track as much as we wanted, as well as a club manager in Port Lincoln who gave us the keys to the temporarily closed club and let us have at it. The sand dunes in Esperence were incredible as well, and I got to turn 21 while crossing the Nullarbor. All in all it was the Moto trip of a lifetime.
So what are you best road trips (with bikes)? Where did you find somewhere unique and what was your route?
