I just heard about it and did a search but footage has been pulled already so that's not a good sign... Sad

Hoping for the best.

The radio have said here that he used to wear a bigger helmet size than he should because of his haircut, and that could be the reason because the helmet went away..... dont know if it is the reason but anyways.... is very sad what happened

In the replay it looked as if the chin strap had broke on one side. At least that was my first thought when i saw the D rings having the chin strap attached at both sides.

I don't think it would have made any difference helmet size or chin strap.

RIP Marco.

R.I.P Marco, such a horrible loss for the motorcycling world.

I guess this plays as a constant reminder to the dangers we all face when we step over that motorbike.

May God speed.

Still shocked. It was a horrible crash. He seemed a very nice and laid back guy..terrible for Edwards and Rossi too ( one of Marco's firends). Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends and everyone that knows him.

it's so unbelievably horrible for everyone involved... I guess you've got to accept someone dying while racing as tragic as the reality is, but Edwards and Rossi being involved in the crash is so, so unfortunate.. Edwards retires in one race it's supposed to be a celebration of a great career but I bet he won't feel like it. It's an unfair end to a career for one that deserves better
and poor Rossi I can't even imagine what's going through his mind.. for someone that brings so much joy just by being who he is... again it's unfair someone like him has to deal with being involved in the death of a good friend

massive tragedy is an understatement involving three of best guys in the sport

R.I.P. Marco.. he was still so young and barely starting his MotoGP career. He was fresh off his first podium finish in Australia last round. I didn't really pay much attention to him until his intense battle for the race win at Jerez in the 250s against Alvaro Bautista where they both ended up in the gravel trap. But since then I've been a fan of his aggressive riding and wild style. He definitely stuck out and made an impression on and off the track.
