Just visited today. An excellent museum on *all* things Evel as well as moto. The Snake River Motocross is displayed. Bikes, helmets, leathers, his semi truck, lots of high-tech interactive displays, too. Highly recommend a visit if you are passing thru Topeka KS. $20 to get in. Adjacent to Topeka's Historic Harley-Davidson, they too have a nice moto museum.

Great thread! There is a youtube re: restoring the semi truck. Pretty cool story---and Evel apparently loved that rig. I'm on the road or else would privide a link.

Last two summers I have cut across the US hitting Kansas on down to Texas corner into New Mexico. See lot of nice areas. I want try to hit this museum this next trip. Saw the sky cycle years back out here at stateline. They were going to make an Evel Cafe in the mall. Had lot of items packed in there.

They talked about the Evel museum on Mysteries of the Museum the other day on Travel channel. Awesome piece. I remember going to the pay-per-view at our local auditorium to watch the Snake River races and rocket launch on the big screen!

I work in Topeka. Topeka should be remembered by some vital members as the town GuyB got some watered down gas a few years ago Smile

It's on the same property as the Harley dealership... (which long ago was where the city's fleet repair type of place used to be. The Harley dealership and cafe are now in that building)

That's awesome! I grew up about an hour away from Topeka. Can't wait to check out the mueseum next time I go back home.
