The Shop
That PASS at Mount Morris a few years back was one of my jillion epic RC
flashbacks.
What I've been thinking about lately is - that as incredibly AMAZING as
he was and AS SPECTACULAR as his career was- his pro debut
at Steel City - was pretty average, right ?
Didn't he go 4-7 or something like that ? It's really hard to believe that there
were people who could beat him.
that day rc 2/1 = 1st overall in his, well, 2nd ever pro race
01 Anaheim SX - More Motocross Videos
All his near crashes that would have put ANYONE in the ground, just crazy.
RC made it happen on that 250 all summer, and the last race at Steel City was actually probably the easiest of them all. Up to that point RC was a great champion, but after that he truly reached that legend status.
One other was (I think) Vancouver in '05, when he was leading by a long way and he kept trying to clear two tabletops and kept coming short, one time landing on the tuffblocks, but he kept trying until he hit it. He could have thrown the whole thing away, but he knew he could jump it and he wasn't going to stop until he got it done.
Pit Row
Defiantly fun to watch all the time.
I remember this... it was awesome, and a little bit of a bummer at the same time.
