Study shows energy drinks may "lead to cocaine use"...

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2017/08/11/energy-drink-consumption-may-lead-cocaine-use-study/560212001/

Then there is this one, "Energy drinks cost father part of his skull"

http://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/2017/10/13/energy-drinks-cost-new-father-part-his-skull-wife-claims.html

The key IMO on both of these is proper use vs abuse... as it is with pretty much everything. Hell, even too much water can kill a person.

Yes, but water is good for you. There is no nutritional benefit to energy drinks.

Seems like anything can lead to anything these days, but man that skull photo is pretty gnarly. Grateful for the money energy drinks put in the sport. Just need to get the cigarettes back on board.

And I'm pretty sure energy drinks contain large amounts of water, quick ban the stuff before it gets us. How people are employed to study and write such stuff for these "news" companies I will never know.

And booze sponsor $ as well. These guys deserve the paychecks. I don't remember an alcohol sponsor since McGrath had the Bud Light KTM.

I enjoy drinking a Red Bull sugar free or yellow edition 3-5 days a week....and if I’m feeling cheap I go for a low carb monster or cherry rockstar punched whistling

Like my old shop teacher used to tell us. Smoke one cigarette a day. It probably aint gonna hurt ya much. Smoke a pack a day and then it'll probably kill you.

Hate on these companies all you want but good luck finding someone else to step up to the plate and invest in our sport and motorsports in general like they do.

|

I couldn't decide between the 8.4 oz or the 12 oz Red Bull the other day. I bought both.

I wonder how many cups of coffee it took Zlati to meet the deadline with that article?

Haha yep, without the energy drinks I'm not sure what kind of state this sport would be in right now. The sport might be completely fine without them who knows, but no denying they have poured tonnes of money into the sport.
