More SX tracks should be like Daytona.

Are there other venues that could uses similar to Daytona for a bigger track? I'm only one heat race in and already it's way more fun to watch than the typical stadium tracks. With how fast the bikes are now, I'd love to see more tracks like Daytona on the sx circuit.

The MXGP track we had in Charlotte would also be an awesome addition to the sx series. It's tough because both of these I mentioned are outdoors but what if you just kept the series on the lower half of the country, with the occasional stadium round?. Rather than Daytona being the odd ball, make the indoor rounds be the odd ball in locations that need to be covered.

Yeah, we need more tracks that you have to start top 3 to win on.

Was thinking the same thing. This is what supercross should be.

In some ways I agree.

I think it being rough is good, tech and a bit slower too... And it must be nice for these guys not getting to cement...

But fuck me that was a one lined track. Basically Dungey and Osborne made passes. Everyone else maybe moved a spot or two.

Why can't they make a dome track be this rough and rutted?? Lap times are still around 1:00... get some looser dirt in the domes

Every track is gonna be one lined these days.. the fast riders all take the fastest line.. sometimes a couple others form. Not sure how they could change it

Ones that work out though? All these super short straights make it hard for anyone to get a run on...

Look at the lap chart for 250s and 450s

A couple dudes made moves, the rest basically finished where they started...

Short straights basically make it bee-line... they've gonna take the most direct route because there isn't enough time to get a run on...

But they run the short straights because the bikes are capable of warp speeds with no run up now...

There seemed to be more lines than many other tracks this year.

Agree.. i said this before when there was talk of replacing the nationals and making the sx series longer. In my opinion it wouldnt be as bad so long as there are at least 5 rounds like Daytona.

A place like Charlotte where they had the gp is one option

this track looked slow to me for Daytona. a lot of corners and short straight except one. personally I didn't like it

Unfortunately, I predict that we will see more Outdoor races, not Supercrosses, moving to auto raceways in the future as more and more real outdoor tracks are lost to closure. Remember also that DMG owns the outdoor series and Coombs has the rights to run it. Could there be pressure at some point to move to DMG properties?

Sometimes history is good to know, Talladega had races just like Daytona in 1972 & 73. They were.......Outdoor nationals on Gary Bailey designed tracks.

Nascar race tracks would be a great place for Supercross races now that Monster sponsors both series. Makes sense and might bring in new fans from Nascar Racing. How long till Monster takes over the Outdoor Nationals. DC could cash out big time. Monster will be the Amazon of racing in the future.

I think the biggest thing other tracks could benefit from like Daytona is the removal of Feld from the series. Seems to be everything I like about Daytona is what Feld has gotten rid of in the series.

However, I wish the track was as big as years past, more MX related like it use to be and with those changes back, bring back the 30 rider field like they use to have.
