I ran a set on my 250F a few years back after I cracked the stock front rim. They held up great for the probably year and a half I had the bike. Your bike looks sick btw!

Well they're pretty that's for sure. Unfortunately that's about it. Wheels are one of those things that you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I found that out when my spare front wheel (moose) taco'd in a set if whoops

I live in sweden, so here you´ll have to pay around a 100$ each for the Moose rims.
I have a set of SM Pro Wheels on order, but i hope these hold up as well.
Mainly ride in the woods so, that might help.

btw thank you guys!

My last two sets of excels are ehh, not sure but all MX rims must flat spot. Stock and excels flat spot, going to try the DID or excel A60 next.

LOL, Bruce. They actually named the rim the "no-taco"?

Im wondering how the Tusk rims and hubs hold up? Are the Moose rims similar?

I have heard nothing but good things about the Tusk stuff but haven't heard anything about the Moose stuff.

If I remember right they are made by DID. I don't think Moose makes any hard parts, they only put their name on them. It's like the ARC levers they put their name on; they are ARC levers that say "Moose" on them but I think you can get them a little cheaper.

There decent rims. I cracked 2 at the welds but they always replaced them. FYI the replacements are sent from G2 ergonomics

I've had 4 different Excel Takasago's crack (never taco'd) in mulitple places. I have had 2 stock rims on a honda crack. I have a good friend who cracked his A60 rear rim. I just got some Notako's and so far, so good. I have one set of Moose rims on one of my bikes - Have had no issues with them at all. My opinion is, I've seen all rims crack and break if enough force hits them. Just because something costs more doesn't mean that it's that much better (even if it should be). I'm honestly puzzled at how many cracked Tagasako's I've had (and I'm anal retentive about spoke maintenance and running the right tire pressures based on terrain).

Right now, if I had to recommend a quality product at a fair price, I would recommend Excel Notako's.

Dear god no. Unless you don't plan on riding the bike.

The T in Tusk stands for terrible.

DID, lxt or sxt rims, or a60 s with bulldog spokes, . For the most part you get what you pay for.

DID DTX are the really strong rims we run in Baja...AMAZING!

I don't know of ANY "inexpensive" rim that's a Re-Badged DID.

RAD Mfg builds wheels w/ DIDs for a pretty damn good price. I have a set w/ a Full SCORE/Baja season on them & they're Bullet-Proof. (Estimate 3K Mlles on Front/2K Miles on Rear).

I've run LTX on our X-Games/SX bikes: they're Light; but, nowhere near as tough as the DTX.

I have been running and 18" warp-9 on my hare scramble bike for 2 seasons now. I have a nutec tubliss kit and keep up on the spokes and lube the bearings from time to time. it has been bullet proof so far. I would have a hard time getting more money out of my wallet for an expensive wheel set with the good luck I have had with these. it has also survived 2 4-day trips to the rock infested Hatfield McCoy trails in WV. maybe it is the tubliss kit that has kept it alive. I run at 7psi everywhere with no dents or flat spots yet. good luck with your moose rims I am sure they will hold up fine with proper maintenance.

.

Brandon Glenn from TX uses them, his Dad builds the wheels.

He rides Pro in MX, SX, AX and Off Road. Seem to hold up for him!

FYI... All your stock OEM Excel Rims are softer than the aftermarket Excel rims.
