Are Hondas that far behind? That thing is getting pulled like crazy out of corners by the yamahas, ktms, and huskys.

It did look like that bike lacked power coming out of the turns.

He weigths more than most of the other riders and probably had more holeshots than anyone.
The motor can't be that bad

All the geico motors holeshot good. But it looked like it was lacking serious power in the corners

Did you ever hear of a thing called corner speed . You can have the fastest corner speed on the slowest bike ,

He was making a lot of mistakes, especially after the finish. He was coming to a near halt, then pivoting and trying to accelerate on blue groove. It made it look like he was very underpowered, just very bad line choice...

His weight is defientely a penalty on the little bikes. It's more noticeable when he makes mistakes and needs to power out... It was noticeable late in the race at Daytona as well because he was pausing a lot and not rolling through his corners as well. If he does that, he doesn't quite have enough to get back up to speed as fast as the little guys.

Nothing on his Honda is actually Honda.
Funny you say that - Remember back to 2 stroke days and Burner with Gieco - He had YZ crank and all sorts of different parts in it. Was good for 5 hrs before totally strip down and full replacement. Is what I was told by one of the mechanics who worked on it.

Also heard the 250f bikes are like stock 450's...

I'm sick of this, hes not huge for a 250f. There's 2 other guys out there bigger.

Sorry, but 5'10 165 is not huge.

This.

And yes, his cornering would be better than mine - but hell, riding bikes (and fishing) seems to be what / all Mookie has ever done.

He's a funny young bloke, and quite a good motorcycle rider - he got out ridden by a few others in that race, that's all.

You sure about those numbers? 5'10" might be right but 165 sounds 20-ish pounds too low just based on an eye test.

Two agreements with Uptite - Yikes!

This "Mookie is huge" is a bit of a chuckle. Hell, I think all of the stuff about the MX Panda - DeDycker - being huge is a bit of a chuckle ( I grew up with a whole bunch of people around me being well over 6'6", so 'big' to me is on a different scale to many people, I think), as, at 6'3", he's not particulary tall - but, hell, he, DeDycker, does ride "Big". Maybe that's it - Mookies somewhat upright upper body style makes him seem bigger to people.

I watch the pre-show stream with more regularity than the night show, and there certainly are quite a few genuinely tall blokes among the privateers trying to qualify for the night show - it seems more so in the 250s, than the 450s, but that might be down to weight of numbers?

Maybe not "big" compared to a football player but c'mon man, the dude is huge when it comes to pro SX riders. Moto riders in general are smaller guys
