Mookie looked Un Mookie like in the whoops tonight. Where was his usual blitzkrieg speed? Can we blame the steel frame? Lol 😂

Not sure what the deal was, but Marv actually looked better than he did tonight. Hope it’s not a steel frame issue, because Mookie is easily the funnest dude to watch in the whoops.

Saw Ferandis catch up to him in the whoops. Didn’t think about the frame deal, interesting, guess we’ll see in the next few rounds.

James Stewart talked in his latest podcast episode how Malcom has tried to get his bikes in the past to run mach speeds in the whoops while also having the bike set up for fast turns. James said Malcom set his bike up for overall track speed before switching to Husky's 450.

Mookie had a little verbal assault aimed at Marv after that, and I’ll bet there’s a payback coming down the line sometime. Musquin didn’t have to do that, and he didn’t gain any huge positional advantage by it.

Agree OP, but that track steward saw God when he ran out to help Sexton only to see Mookie come charging through the whoops straight at him...

If someone can get a clip and post it, I'd be forever grateful.

Steel frame didn't hurt Dungey in the whoops
Didn’t help him either

Maybe he will come around. I thought AP said in an interview that he couldn't believe how Mookie was attacking the whoops, in the off-season. But I agree, he didn't look himself last night. Was rather ordinary.

Not what we expect, but he is heathly for rd 2. Maybe the thought was to stay cool, and let the season come to him instead of forcing something so early?

I'd put money on it being a suspension setup issue combined with trying not to get hurt in R1 going Mach 7 through the whoops, ala Colt Nichols.
