Matthes tweeting that mookie is going to MCR. Interesting if it’s true. Wonder if they’re adding a bike or if someone else is off?

Good for him and look forward to seeing him on Honda. Hope he gets a full off season with them starting at Monster cup.
Well that’s a solid bit of news for a Friday.
Good on mookie; getting a ride and fishing all he wants. Dudes living the dream.
So he turns down MCR last year by not returning phone calls only to end up there in 2019.
Interesting. ?

Tony must really have Mookie Fever...
2011 Yamaha YZ 250 -MX
1996 Yamaha Banshee 350 -Trails
1982 Chevy S10
2005 Pontiac GTO -451rwhp
So Mookie is their potential race winner? A lot of people would have to have a really bad night along with his good one.

He returned the call, it just took a while. Like, a year.
Well if it’s true I guess Chad reed won’t be on MCR unless they field 3 bikes. I thought Chad would have been a great fit there.
Oh and btw, you should have titled this thread “Stewart to MCR” and sat back and watched it become a 10 pager minimum

Only makes sense that chad will field the 3rd jgr bike
Good news for those who can't go a day without a Stewart boner.
The older I get, the faster I was.
That’s as good as it gets not being on a factory team. Should be a good season for him seems like a good fit he rode that tld 450 pretty well. Hopefully he is 100% fit tho at A1 unlike the last couple years

This move should have them fielding 3 bikes anyway, Brayton, Friese, and Mookie

They already are fielding 3 bikes now, aren't they? Malcolm Stewart, Vince Friese and Justin Brayton.
If there's one thing I've learned with the Stewart's is that there is plenty of time for this deal to go a different direction.
Wasn't the 800 coming back to SX in 2019?

This is correct. Mookie is taking Jake Weimer's spot .
Race Bike: 2018 KTM 350SXF
Other Bikes: 1985 CR80R, 1990 CR250R, 1998 PW80, Specialized Fuse Comp 29.
Sold: 2016 YZ250F, 2012 CRF250R
I thought it was odd that JGR worked out a 1 ride deal with Reed and not Malcom, who they sort of already were supporting, but this could explain why.

You're welcome, since I was the one he was responding too haha. Just kidding, I was thinking it was weird Mookie wouldn't get the JGR SX only deal so I asked Matthes if he had a ride somewhere else. Makes sense now why JGR would go for Reed especially since they're shopping for a new title sponsor.
Makes sense. Probably pay him a small salary, obviously he attracts fans and sponsors will like the additional attraction. And, he's a potential top 10 SX guy with Brayton, so overall, that's a strong team.
Curious what he will get in terms of parts from Honda and Showa, though. IIRC, Brayton was only guy with Showa factory suspension and the factory front brake. Other guys were racetech.
