anyone else think he looked more comfy on a kawi? if only he stuck to his original plan he would actually have bowers spot now on monster kawi since grant/eli are injury prone, which is sickening to think about a stew on a kawi......either way hes on factory equipment but it would of been cool to see his style

The privateer kawi and the factory bike are still two completely different animals. Either way hes going to a new bike. Also WTF kind of statement is “he looked comfy”

Malcolm is pretty much on the best equipment money " can't " buy......so yeah , there is that.

And more comfortable on his privateer Kawi , and his brother's own personal practice track?

Where he is placing is 100% on him. When a team gives you everything you could possibly ask for.....those race results fall on you , and nobody else.

This ride won't last very long unless he starts getting a little more serious with training and testing. I doubt he'll do outdoors , so come 2019 SX.....?? Who the he'll knows.

Was Malcolm beating Bowers before Grant went out?

He's lucky to have the ride he's got, and would probably have similar finishes either way.

The thing with professionals is that they are professional enough to adapt to the machinery and apply their skills. While some pros can adapt quicker than others, I don't doubt for a second that Malcolm has shot himself in the foot racing a JGR zook over a bone stock Kawi on a everyday practice track.
