If they fill the seat at HRC , it will probably be Brayton , not Malcolm. Malcolm has his own thing going , and besides we don't even know how long Kenny will be out. Plates and screws can do wonders on getting a rider back out there pretty quick.
Michael Lindsey confirmed he crashed. A think it was a decent ride. Showed speed in Heat getting second. It's been a long time since he's raced in the US. Just needs some seat time.
Lap 14, fell.

Lap 14, fell.
He was in 8th until Reed got him at lap 7 and he lost 4 seconds. Got back on time for a lap and then drops back around 1.02 until lap 14 where he goes down for half a minute. Then race is done by then. I'd like to know what happened?
Almost looked to me that he was struggling with something on the bike halfway through the main. He was comfortably in front of Reed and Tomac, all the sudden pulled up and let them by it was weird. Almost like he hit neutral and took him a while to click it back into gear or something to that effect
Strong first ride for sure. He was well in pace for top5 ride. Track was just too easy and everyone just went same line.
He would be great fill in for Honda even just got his own thing going.
I was thinking the same thing. He probably wishes he could have got the Honda fill in. I would think they would call him over anyone else just because of the geico thing but too late now.
Gotta love Mookie's style throwing whips and leg swagging the whole track. Great to have a Stewart back and a solid start from the #47. Easily a top 10 rider...
Until his crash in the whoops, he was only overtaken by Reed and Tomac. Both are marque riders for their brand with two years and billions of hours of R&D and $$$ into their set up. Malcolm a couple of weeks riding a stocker and 2 or 3 rides on something bolted together with components HE or Seven bought from the suppliers as is. Should be close. Good luck Malcolm, all the best.
(just going to note all those engines at JGR gathering dust cause Barcia is out)
Then you have Roczen who also got bitten by the track and ended his series in hospital, and then Dungey being one of the most consistent racers ever and with records nearing the best ever in the sport, who said that the track was so tricky it could reach up and bight you, and you really had to be careful not to crash. Sounds like it may have been difficult no?
But Malcolm is still a piece of shit cause he crashed in cupped out whoops trying to go top ten in his first ride on a new bike with very little work and no testing with the factory techs. TOP TEN with the BEST IN THE WORLD at SX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty much off the fucking couch (or straight from the river) with a couple of circus show rides in France to dust off.
Any chance he may have tweaked himself too?? A get off in the whoops, highly likely. Or no way, had to be a fade?
You clowns should try riding a MX bike before commenting.
Lap times... he didn't really try that much after his crash.. 4-5 seconds slower per lap than those he was ahead of before the crash...2-3 slower than those around him.
Who knows if he was gassed at that point, disappointed, pissed, or tweaked something.
Still a good ride IMO. Top 6-10 next week, barring crashes.
im happy to have Mookie out there on the track. The stewarts are good people. BUT
I distinctly remember him posting how he was getting ready for the SX season right after Vegas, and then how he would have something by anaheim 1...... He had months to get ready, at the very least fitness wise.
We'll see how it plays out next week with more time to test on his bike and being more settled. Having a lot of stress from setting up can screw you over. He did mention lack of sleep and riding while putting his ride together...
... Fuck, I should have held out one more week. Coulda got that fill-in ride at HRC Honda, but now everybody knows I'll fade.
Hell, he cant finish a full race. He is a great rider until later in the race and he always shows a glimpse of riding like James used to, but then he ends up like James has in previous years and crashing before the moto ends.
The Shop
Peanuts be like "what's a lap chart?"
He would be great fill in for Honda even just got his own thing going.
He had good speed, but it's hard to get the fitness midle of season.
