I had a camera in the truck, but refused to flash all night. My memory still works, that's what i have.

For those that missed it, sorry. It was just one of those things that you should have attended.

Next years will not be on a day where good parents put their children first however, this year it just landed on Halloween.

It went great, it was a fucking laugh factory, Bob Hannah, was as good an actor, as he was on his best race day, or damn close. The spoof was incredible with a twist that threw Hannah, to the floor laughing.

The "Monsters of Motocross" was absolutely the best time I have ever had at a motorcycle gathering. I had the chance to hang out with, Rex Staten, Chatted for a while with Ron Lechein, Tommy Croft, & Marty Smith...Stood at a urinal next to Ricky Johnson, and complimented him...on his acting !

Saw my good friends Willie Musgrave, Malcolm Smith, Larry Huffman, and his lovely wife Kathleen (he calls her K.C. which makes no sense) and a host of others in the fog...I also had a few laughs with the man of the hour, Brad Lackey.

The Jody Weisel's, piece on fallen Hero's was second to none. It really made us think of the greats, that are no longer with us.

You know a lot of people talk shit about Jody, but He tells it like it is. what he passes along about Motocross, is from years in the trenches of the circuit, and being one, on one, with the riders, to me, it is incredible. If we were able to see only half, of what he has seen, through his eyes, it would be awesome.

Okay in closing, I saw many friends, and put faces with the words from the internet, drank a lot of Scotch, and had an F-N blast !

Sondra, I love you !

If you missed it, YOU REALLY MISSED IT !!!

I stayed awake at the track, letting people back in. Sorry to the guy that called me at 1:45am, I was passed out by then, and my phone was dead do to the many calls wanting in late after the gig. I guess you/he had to wait until morning to re-enter the park

Thanks for the report Mike. Wish I could have made it, maybe next year?
Let me know Chuck, I know a guy, that knows a guy...I can help, I was left with a hand full of tickets. Your presence there would have been a perfect fit.

It was a great night.
Everything you said was right on.
Sorry we didn't get to meet.
I'll throw some pictures up later when I get a minute.

Todd,
Where can we get a copy of Jody's tribute film and Hannah's "No Chance To Win?" Are they going to be on DVD? Did it seem to you that Hannah was all choked up after watching the "Motocross Immortals" segment?

Great way to sum it all up Mike.

If there really is a Motocross Heaven, I'd like to think it would be like last Friday night was after racing & free riding all day!

Pleasure was all mine Gerald. I had a busy week end, keep running into you all over the raceway.

Marty, was so cool to talk to. Looks like we might be seeing more of him. He may be under the Freek racing tent...Negotiations are in process to cover his son.

Cool pics...Toon Karsmakers, won the 50 Expert class on Sunday, got an email from him today, he just got back to Holland. He and wife (Rian) are good people. Toon, is five time Dutch champion.

Gary Jones, is a cheater, and was afraid to race this past week end.
Todd Hufman, job well done !
Marty Smith, Miss El Cajon (inside)
R.J., good actor.

Who's the guy in the first photo leaning on the honda? he looks familiar, I saw him around that night. Now I know after reading your post Mike that was Toon that I was racing with and lined up next to, and Sandy was talking to Rian all weekend, I didn't recognize him without his helmet
