What do you prefer? Monster Energy Cup or Redbull Straight Rhythm? Just purely for fun to see what people like more I created a poll: https://strawpoll.com/x1fc3df1 I personally like Straight Rhythm more, seems a lot more exciting and a lot more two strokes.

Straight Rhythm by a mile, I got to ride an amateur event last year and it was one of the most fun events I've ever ridden in. Two thumbs up from me to Rebull for making this event happen and including cool stuff like the two stroke race as well, plus it seems to have a much more laid back vibe that is actually fun.

Straight Rhythm.

All out sprints, tigher competition/battles, 2 strokes, cooler vibe, better presentation, etc.

Depends on a few things, if we're talking this year specifically, straight rhythm wins all day but only because of the 2 stroke class. If there's no 2 stroke class I probably wouldn't even bother watching this year to be honest. Can only watch people go in a straight line for so long before it gets repetitive. The years the MEC had RV, RD, Stew, Canard and Reed I was probably 10x more excited for it than I am this event.

So in short I'd probably prefer which ever one has more competition, but if the same people line up for both events than I'd have to go with the MEC.

Neither? I've never made it through an entire straight rhythm before since most of the races are over after a slight mistake about two seconds in. MEC just needs to be killed with fire and turned back into the US Open. I used to go to those every year I could. That race was a fans dream to attend.

how about both, just a shame there is not more days in a year for these poor riders. The US schedule is a grind! Still hate the SX schedule, 17 races in 18 weekends is ridiculous, these guys arent cyborgs, but i guess thats what makes it so intense.

RBSR gets my vote. MEC needs to go. They should have a SX amatuer race like Lorretta Lynn's with all the classes. Only problem would be lots of injuries.

I'll let you now once we get to see if it lives up to the hype. I'm more excited for the RBSR but I did enjoy the amateur racing at the MEC and seeing Marvin win the million waqs exciting, too. Just too many crashes at MEC and a thin field made it kind of boring.

Straight rythem because it's fun, kind of light hearted, the riders don't have to pre train too much to take it too seriously, and its a great off season event for something different.

Ditch MEC or make significant changes to its format & track design. Pull in two strokes other than the superminis.

Neither.. MEC has more potential with better racing.
RBSR hype with RV and Reed was great! But the event dragged on, I actually had to turn it off and opted to check results now.. maybe if the riders do a U-turn at the end and come back down the straight? 40 second races too short?

RBSR is all about fun and close racing. Monster Cup is a taste of SX in the middle of the off season and a peek at (almost) everyone's new deals.

I like both, but based on entertainment alone RBSR took the cake this year.

Red Bull all day. You are guaranteed to see close exciting racing. I enjoy both though as a fan, but both suffer without star power. The year James won mec was the best imo

Depends on the year. This year was almost a wash, because neither were that stacked, other than the 2 stroke race.

I don't know but i got bored of both events. RBSR is a great idea and i loved the 2 strokes but it got boring, i'm sorry but it's too repetitive and too long.

Get rid of the 250 class and have one open and one 2-stroke class.

MEC? Gajser crashed out and my excitement level went down with that. I knew Marvin was going to win the "million" if he got starts in the second and third moto. The actual racing was lackluster.

2 very different events but it's difficult to get excited of it when the MXdN was only a few weeks ago and neither of these events will ever come close to MXdN. Monster has to change the date of MEC, that would give it way more excitement. RBSR has to make the show shorter.

Anyways, RBSR is "better" because of the uniqueness of the event and the 2-strokes.

RBSR!

Two stroke class was fun, as was watching Mac/Sipes and Hill mixing it with the four bangers.

The dynamic of the whole event is cool, I'd like to see more of it! I wouldn't have stayed up until silly o clock to only watch the Musquin and McElrath show.
