It is snowing very heavily in Minneapolis (for the 2nd year in a row when SX is in town) to the point that they are closing schools early. Thankfully it isn't as heavy as last years and it isn't on the day of the race.

That storm last year was unprecedented. Roads were as gnarly as racing in the deep sand at Grantsburg

What about the dirt? has it been sitting outside somewhere in the snow for months?

Wonder what they will use to to dry it out?

I asked that question & they mentioned they have 9,000 yards there and use 6500 yards. The top few feet get peeled off to get to the good dirt.

Came in pre dusted with lots of lime!
Assuming sarcasm or no...? I initially thought that but then realized there was a snowstorm (another storm hitting right now as well) the day they were loading in the dirt. In the next frame you'll see the trailer's bumper & taillights covered in snow.

I'm in Mankato Minnesota and its Bad today
Total blizzard we got 25-35 mile per hour wind
Blowing snow everywhere and creating drifts looks like Antarctica outside, and before this we had an ice storn
So under the snow its ice like a hockey rink every where , car accidents everywhere, i saw on the news today that they where pulling the plow trucks off the roads because its to dangerous for the drivers, and they are telling people to stay home.
Makes me wonder about flight cancellations?

The runways will be cleared; it's just going to be bitterly cold.

Wear a hat! I prefer a full on ninja mask when it's this cold out.

Weather looks marvelous this year!

Last year it took us an hour to make the 15 minute drive downtown from the Western suburbs...

Just saw the husky factory rig broke down on the side of I35. Ass end was squatting hard on the tractor. Looks like the bags went out
