It'll be interesting to see if John actually lets people ride the whole pro track. I've been riding there for 8 years and have never done the 2nd uphill. It would be really sweet to try that. There's also a round of the super series this weekend. What classes, Huck? I'll be in Vet B and +25B.

I don't imagine we'll do the "pro section"...never have before.

I had my mind made up to do the +25B and +30B...but since I've ridden 2 times since Thanksgiving...I decided to go with C in both 25 and 30.... Blush

I can't imagine they'd use the 2nd uphill at any point for amateurs.

Yes, I'm aware of that... lol At 37, I am baffled as to why there isn't a +35. It's the only age class that is not there from 25 until 60!!!! lol Every other year has a 5 year age break.

I just don't want to get in the way of the intermediates.

That's what everybody does when they travel to Millville - "holy crap, huge national track, I'm not ready, I'll drop down a class!"

I don't know your racing history, I'm not bagging on you Huck, maybe C is the right class for you, but you would not believe how many B and even C riders I see there jumping nearly all the jumps and just flat out running away with their classes. They're almost always from at least 500 miles away. It's gotten to the point where if I see a name I don't recognize from Alberta, Wyoming, Montana, etc, I just assume we're all racing for 2nd. I guess it's the one downside of always racing at a national track - everybody comes from all over (which is great) and then rides down a class.

Anyway, rant off. It'll be an awesome weekend, it always is.

As for the 2nd uphill, John could knock out RC's triple in about 30 minutes. I don't see it being that dangerous then, although after seeing that video of GL, not sure everyone will be ready for the banner jump coming back down. I'd be surprised if we got to ride it, but a guys gotta dream, right?

I'll be there for Saturday for sure, and I'm still debating on whether or not I want to race the amateur stuff.

I don't get all "giddy" about a MX track.

Like I said, since Thanksgiving, I've been on a bike 2 times!!! And before then...maybe 5 times all last year.

Typically, I'm probably a C+ rider... lol Don't worry, I won't run off with the C race, as I'm sure the top 4 or 5 should be in B anyway.... I'll be out there for sightseeing.

Hey Dave, you've ridden twice since Thanksgiving and I just started riding again last August after 20 years and haven't lined up behind a gate since 1988. Should be an epic C class battle. Oh, and I know STFU.

My son and i will be racing and the whole deal till Sunday then race our D-23 race Sunday at a nearby track.

My son #135 will race either +25B or 250B or both

I'm #11x and not sure but i normally ride +40B and +45B in D-23 races but have been known to ride +50 and +55 at times also. Maybe some kind of a get together after practice Thursday would be cool or even before practice?

Cool. We'll be staying at the track. We plan on getting there around 5:00pm on Wednesday. I'll be #218 on a Honda.

This is what we'll be in....

- pulled by a dark grey Chevy 2500 with AR plates.

I'm looking at it now, trying to find good hiding spots for the beer. lol

Sometimes you can unsrew the plywood under the mattress and there is a lot of room. Just a suggestion.

You reminded me, Huck, always worth mentioning. No carry-ins are allowed at Millville the weekend of the pro national. Your camper will be boarded and searched by sheriff deputies. So if you're going to hide it, hide it very well. Also no campfires, so don't bring wood, that will also get taken from you. You shouldn't move wood anyway - we don't have the ash borer here in SE MN yet and want to put off that infestation as long as we can.

I'm disappointed that the Arkansas Hillbilly rig is gone. You were expected to be slow in your old rig. Now with that pimp ride you had better be in the B class.

Oh, I will be there in our new ride also. I will actually be able to take a shower this trip.

What did you get? Probably some high class expensive hauler. I've heard about you "dealers"...you almost make as much as track owners!

And BTW...after practice Thursday, I may bump myself to the B class. lol

Yep. That's why it takes 10 hours to get into the damn place.

The last 2 times, I've had them check my gun in. They've always been very accommodating. They take it to their little police department inside Spring Creek and lock it up.

I took the advice of an ex track owner(the one that happens to be in this thread) when I made my purchase. Now if I could just figure out how to get the time to travel to all of the races like he does.

Hopefully in 30 years I will own this second home. I couldn't get them to stretch it to 40.

I am curious if you dont ride in a few months, yr or so, do you forget how to ride? I haven't skied in 4 years and I was an expert last time I did, but I think i could still make it down the hill. How does that work? I have always enjoyed that excuse for "sandbagging." The only one that tops it is "everyone else is doing it..."
