Great interview with someone from Milestone about the development of Monster Energy Supercross The Official Video Game. I love how he says it was made FOR the supercross fans. At the same time there are regular settings for the mainstream but Pro settings for the hardcore fans.

THAT is how you do it. You make it for the fans of the sport, first and foremost, but also have ways the casual person can enjoy it as well.

Well that's entirely up to you but if you already have a PC it'll be available on that as well.

If you're a console gamer with a PS3 or Xbox 360 then yes you'll have to upgrade to a PS4 or Xbox One if you plan on continuing to play on console since the game won't be available for the "older" consoles.

i just saw a video with a developer and he said that Daytona IS in the game. also that there will be different physics options, one that accessible for non hardcore players and one that’s more hardcore and realistic

To be fair, looked like he hit the first one then ran down the right side where there were no whoops. lol

The gameplay looks REALLY fast in that clip. I like MXGP3 speed. MvA Encore is too fast and MXGP1&2 were too slow for my taste. That looks a lot faster than MXGP3.

Kinda concerned that none of those videos showed anyone crashing despite coming up short on triples, landing on tuff blocks, colliding with other riders, etc. The graphics look nice and polished but hopefully its not just going to be a rip around the course hitting whatever rhythm suits your speed type game...

Watch the video posted above with one of the developers. He talks about that a little bit.

Looks sweet. will mosy likely have a few kinks but a good base platform.

Hopefully career mode has some storline to it. I.e starting as a rookie and having a few races to prove yourself to teams. get a ride work your way up to the big class. Maybe throw in some rider rivarlies

I guarantee you every clip we’ve seen so far and the videos of the people playing the game at monster energy cup, weren’t playing the game on pro physics

Usually demo's don't have much of anything unlocked since they don't save the games and that's why it's always the basics of everything.

They really should have someone from the team level up everything and save a game that way people that try it know what they'll be getting. It makes sense to do this if you're bringing the demo at the SX and MX races where most of the people who will try it are already fans of the sport.

The basic setup is OK if they're just in a mall where a ton of random people walk by and would like to give it a try.

At least that's how I would go about it.

Looks like I'll be getting that PS4 finally. I was holding off, but this has me a little excited.

Plenty of great games on the PS4. Not sure what the hold up was. Whenever you get the console and you're all set up go to the communities icon and search for Vital MX and send me a request. I'll make sure to add you to the list. I created it for Vital members. Should be a good time once it comes out.

After buying MXGP and MXGP2, I decided not to buy MXGP3. After the announcement of this new game, I finally went out and bought MXGP3 today. Thanks for caring Milestone!!

The amount of details is amazing but hopefully they'll work on the riders body positioning before they release it. They look like a bunch of goons.

Man, that is amazing looking. Love Milestone's presentation.

Personally, I'm stoked they got Ralph to do voice over work and I like how they have the running order on top left of screen just like the tv broadcasts. I always say..make it look and sound like the broadcasts like all the other major sports games do.

Great shot. Thanks, Maverick.

The riders do look very stiff in the air but if you're playing in third person, you're doing it wrong in my opinion. These Milestone games should be played in first person with the pro physics and a manual gearbox.
Everything you typed is spot on.

Just listened to a podcast called The Show Radio with that same developer at Milestone and he did confirm MEC is in the game. More awesomeness!

He also spoke of how they used drones to capture 1 to 1 not only the tracks but replicate the stadiums and environments as well.

Just search for The Show Radio on your podcatcher or search Monster Energy Supercross video game. They talk about balancing between simulation and arcade.

You have to level up? Damn. Hate that. Oh well, it'll give me a chance to do some career mode before I do nothing but play on line ever again.

Are the tracks last years layout's or this years? It looks like the rider's are last years (teams and sponsors).

Last year's tracks. That is best way. Milestone went to every event and captured every track, every stadium with drones. Also every rider and bike perfectly. You could not do that for events that haven't even happened yet.
