Team tactics @ the Glen Helen USGP....
Come on....
Cairoli staying with the Alessi's the past week.
Both on the KTM team.
Only one racing the series (The winner).
Both on the new 350.
One Mr. Stefan Everts running the show (Grand Prix's) for KTM,
plus doesn't like the Alessi's.
Mike is Mr. Glen Helen (Look @ his lap times from yesturday to today).
1st moto... Was a very close 2nd (make it look good).
2nd moto... Look how easy he got by both Cairoli and Desalle Clement close to
the end of the moto, then all of a sudden he's behind Cairoli by 7sec. (too obvious).
Cairoli scores the overall and most importantly points.
Lets get Mikey...He'll do anything!

hahaha. I think your avatar pretty much sums your post up.

Mike rode great, but let's be realistic here. Cairoli was even faster than him, riding in 3rd gear for 20 minutes.

You know what's really funny? I was talking with a rider's agent after the races, and he told me, "I guarantee you that within a day there will be a conspiracy theory thread about Mike letting Tony by."

I guess you proved him right...

But do I believe that he was helping him out intentionally? No. If he was trying to play team tactics, he'd have worked harder to keep Desalle behind him.

Ok I'm willing to consider this because I know like most realistic people that team tactics do exist. If you don't think they do you probably believe in Santa Clause as well. Problem is if that's the case there's a guy named Max Nagl who's on the same team and 2nd in the championship that was in 3rd in the 1st moto. If this conspiracy you're talking about is true why wouldn't Mikey just somehow let Nagl buy too? If I was Nagl I'd be pretty pissed if my team not only helped out AC buy telling Mikey he can't beat him but also took points away from Nagl in the process by finishing in between the two..That fact alone makes the conspiracy theory of yours totally moronic. I did think the 2nd moto looked a little fishy though when Mikey turned it on late in the heat and went by Desalle and AC like they were standing still then all of a sudden went 4 sec a lap slower and they both went back by Mikey just as easy as he passed them a couple laps before. Then reality sets in and you remember that happens with mike late in heats allot. With all that said I think Mikey just got tired. Wouldn't be the first time Mikeys lap times fell way off late in a heat and this heat happens to be 5 min longer the usual.

If I had to bet one way or another I personally think KTM just let them race and let the cards fall where they may and Mikey was 2nd best today.

What's funny is the fastest guy today wasn't Cairoli. It was a AMA rider/ former GP champion from New Zealand named Ben Townley... Ben reps both sides of the coin..

Yeah I agree that Mikey took him down but after watching the replay over and over I've concluded that IMO it wasn't Mikeys fault. Well I take that back. It was his fault but I don't think it was intentional. I agree with Mikey that it was a racing incident.

But yeah it would of been awesome. I think Ben would of easily passed Cairoli and went away if Mikey didn't hit him. Ben had the fastest lap of the race and seemed to just be getting warmed up. BT has pretty much done all his testing since he came back to the US at GH and it showed. As opposed to how he looked at Hangtown last week he looked smooth, fast and in control at GH. At hangtown last week I'm not sure if it was bike set up or nerves but he was all over the place. Not to mention he hit the ground a few times because of it. Either way AC was the best man today.

Just throwing it in here:

I do think that BT may have passed AC in the first heat if MA didn't hit him.

But i do really doubt that BT would have had the strengh and power to go full speed for two heats. I would say he probably would have won the first heat, but wouldn't have had the power to repeat it in the second heat.

In the case as it was yesterday, he was kind of rested in the second moto because he quit halfway through heat one.

Just a thought, we will never know!

I'm guessing... blisters. Long week of riding.

About Cairoli 1st moto 3rd gear only, only proves that Mike should of past him (check out lap times).
About Max Nagl... He was contracted to race the KTM 450f just in case the 350f didn't work out. (Its all about selling the 350f and make their/all 450f's obsolete)
Also.. If Alessi would of stayed in 2nd (No way catching Ben Townley) in the 2nd moto,
Alessi would of got the overall.
Remember... Alessi was close to losing his ride (Stefan Everts was very unhappy with the Alessi camp). What better way to make him happy with Cairoli 1st Mike 2nd.
Also.. What does Mike really have to benifit personally from winning? Its not like there's purse money, and or bonuses, No TV coverage, not a lot of spectators.
Its sad, because Mike has been a puppet thourghout his career (family and teams).
Mike will show everyone next week that he doesn't fade in the hot Texas heat!

Alessi got his you know what handed to him yesterday. I don't like seeing Americans get beat, but you have to call a spade a spade.

Tony is like 50 points ahead in the chamionship, and if you know how much mistakes the other European guys make, it's not even necessary to let him pass. So your story doesn't fit.

Congratulations?? As what tearing tickets on the entrance?

If Tony Alessi knows or even think that his son lose deliberated then he will rip him in pieces. Because that guy is freaky!

And be honest or European guys just beat one of your top Americans it's normal that you are grieving and that it hurts and if it makes you feel better to talking crap then you properly need to do that than. Have fun lying to your self ;-) Telling your self it were teamtactics and you can repeat it as much you want till the day we meet again and we own you guys again.

Oh life is beautiful if you are in the winning team.
And by the way ... Last year first race MXDN (the only fair race without big start crash) ... National Champ versus World champion ... Guess what World champion on top!

you sir are a fucking idiot and should just go wash your mouth out with a .44 mag. The dude takes 2nd overall with 2 top 5 moto's and "he got his ass handed to him"? You've gotta be kidding me.

Why would they play team tactics - KTM made their presence known almost as much as Mitch Payton did at Vegas.
