Saw it in pit bits and I've been meaning to ask.
Does Mika care? If the bars are shit, would you even want to promote them with a bar pad?
All about the money?

Mika bars are actually really good, I’d say as strong as twin walls from my personal experience
It doesn't necessarily mean they are shit. A rider may just have a particular bend or feel that they want. It's not uncommon for guys to run non-sponsor products.
Tried Mika's one time. Rode maybe three times and didn't feel comfortable at all, went right back to my twin wall 997's.

Tomac and/or Anderson for 2020.....
I’m assuming he’s talking about Weimers bike. Actually they don’t have a single Mika product on his bike other than the bar pad cover. Even the foam is Renthal. I don’t blame Jake.
I had a brand new set of Mika bars. Second ride on them, I tipped over in a sand berm and bent them enough to notice it uncomfortably. Two other friends of mine also bought Mika's and after small tip overs on the sand the same thing happened to them. One of my buddies crashes was a little bit harder, and the bars actually bent 90 degrees pointed down.
I tried to give them a shot, but no luck I guess... I've since switched back to Twinwalls and haven't looked back. My bikes been cartwheeling and the bars haven't tweaked one bit.
Must be preseason... People will start threads about any.freakin.thing. same with you " what gear is he riding this year" crap.

Mika bars love them 997 bend, several cartwheel crashes still and still straight, used them for 2 years now. not as wide as the twin walls I had before them but same bend

I think I tried the stewart/poto bend. They were way too low haha. But the main issue I had with them is I noticed they were very rigid and did not flex at all. It also didn't help that I was running KYB PSF2 air forks with them and the combination of the two would beat the hell out of me.

Edited Date/Time:
I've been running the MIKA MC bend bar on my last 2 KTM450s and I've had plenty of crashes, tip overs and yes my favorite the 4th gear cartwheel on two occasions and I've never bent either pr of them. I love the Twinwall bar too but I couldn't find a bend other than the 921 YZ bend that I felt comfortable with and then I saw the Mika bars on a Rockstar Husky's 2 seasons ago and the bend looked like something that I was looking for so I emailed them and asked what bend it was. Been running the Mika MC bend ever since and I love them.
I guess you woke up with shit in your boot.
It just proves its all about the money. Clearly Mika is paying and they can't get Renthal money.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine.
Pro racing is full of this on much larger scales
Let us not forgot all the teams are heavily sponsored by energy drinks...most teams run exhausts you can't buy... and in the US they all run tires you most certainly can not buy...
Most sprockets and bars from any company are same material and basic concept. Just different bends and look. Sure some little nuances but ultimately all very similar.
Personally I think twinwalls with a cross bar are plain asking for harshness.
