I am not a religious man, but I have a lot of respect for Michael’s heart. He made me a huge fan right there.

Wow- you have to respect such kindness, Micheal is trying to help people less fortunate and guide them to a better way, despite the challenges, problems and disasters that may go with it. Must be a caring and really kind guy really.
I found it refreshing and quite inspiring. Yes- doing such a thing probably may not work out given the variables but credit to him for caring and trying to help others.

I'm a fan of Micheal now- did not know much about him but love his stories and what he values- guy has a very kind heart for sure.

The guy always strikes me as a genuine human being. Not the best decision on his part but seems the heart was in the right place.

Nobody is questioning if he’s a good person or not, nor does he have to let homeless people stay in his house to prove it. There’s safer ways to make a difference.

The apple didn’t fall far from the tree! His parents and brother Josh are some of the nicest down to earth people I know.

Very true! I don't know if I've met their parents, maybe the dad briefly, but I've spent a decent amount of time around Josh and he fits exactly what you said. Just from meeting Michael and Josh, I'd have to imagine they were raised by some really, really good people.

MM is a Christian who certainly seems to live the Word.

What a great kid.

His parents were on the podium in San Diego with him. Without mentioning names I know they helped out at least a few amateurs when Mike and Josh were coming up racing. Very solid people!!!

Made a fan out of me as well, what a good dude!
I don't think Michael is that naive either. He made the choice to put others first and accepted the risks. Even when he got taken advantage of by the guy stealing his car he didn't seem too bummed out, and said something along the lines of "i don't have that much worth stealing, everything is replaceable".
I honestly did not really like the way Steve and DB were kind of shaming him for it.

The Mosiman’s are difference makers, all of them have gifts that bless others, love what they bring to our sport and the faith they have, pray for continued blessings

Stood next to his mom at Millville this past year. This lady was clapping every lap he came by and finally put 2+2 together. She was really proud of him getting on the podium and was cool watching how happy and excited she was for him.

I’m not a very religious dude but I’m really amazed at his faith and how he basically said “Am I practicing what I preach or am I just all talk?”

I love his faith in humanity but hopefully those taught him that not everybody can be saved by him.

I was going to reply to this post but with inspiration from DB have decided to avoid religious conversations. They don’t work on message boards.

Nothing grinds my gears more than Christians that try to tell other Christians how to worship. Mosiman never said everybody has to live his life and commit to the word as much as he does, he was just talking about how he follows his faith. And then it felt like DB was shitting on it and trying to get him to live his life differently, just because DB doesn't agree with it. Like you said, it doesn't sound like Michael is naive at all, he seems very aware of his actions and the consequences that may come from it. If he isn't harming other people, or degrading other people, and seems to only be talking about loving other human beings, regardless of their situation, why does that need changing if he is accepting of the risks? Keep being a great human being Michael!

If a spouse or girlfriend lives with you, you are the homeless person.

You should thank them today.

His contract got amended, now states: “will
Not harbor the homeless during contractual obligation.”

Huge fan after that! Awesome to see his light shine with the huge audience this story has reached glorifying god by his works.

Props to Pulp for letting him share this and his beliefs

My wife is from Sebastopol and grew up around Michael and Josh. We happen to be good friends with a guy who got support from the Mosiman's and has had nothing but good things to say about the family!

I've said it a million times already, we're not having religious discussions on this forum. I'm personally religious and I still believe it's a horrible idea to discuss on here. It was already starting to go South.

It's in the forum guidelines, it's simple to follow. Religion discussions create a lot of division and there's enough of that already on here.

As for forum guidelines, I'm guessing you aren't following them well since you're on a new username.
