I'm looking for a new set of sockets and it seems all the sets include Metric and SAE. I really only need new Metric sockets so was hoping to find a good metric only set for moto. Anyone have any recommendations to look at?

I believe Tekton has some metric only no-skip sets. I have a decent amount of their hands tools and they are probably the best bang for the buck IMO.

I bought a craftsman metric only set with 1.4, 3.8 and 1.2 inch drive about 20 years ago. It's still going strong, not sure about craftsman?

That's mostly what I have now, but can't find any metric only sets now. Only sets with both SAE and Metric and 100+ extra useless small tools.

Tekton makes very nice tools for a decent price. Their warranty is supposed to be easy to use although I haven't had to use it myself.

I've had good luck finding new craftsman and SK sockets on ebay for a very good price for trailer tool boxes. Also found metal socket tin boxes and trays. I usually buy snap-on tools but that gets pretty expensive for second and 3rd tool boxes.

Agree. I have a set of Kobalt metric sockets and they seem to be very good quality.
I was told years ago Snap-on makes Kobalt tools. But not sure if that still hods true.

Go to Lowe’s and buy the individual craftsman sockets that you need.

Tekton all the way. You won't find a better value, they offer 10% rewards credit for ALL orders, and they have the best warranty in the business. Can't go wrong.

eBay. I’ve bought a bunch of snap on tools there for half the price. Still pricier than say…harbor freight, but you get what you pay for.

SK is a great value, almost as good as the tool truck stuff for way less money. I have some SK tools that I've had for 40+ years. Good warranty as well.

I like my metric Milwaukee sockets and ratchets. I don’t really own any SAE stuff

I have Husky and autozone sockets mainly because I used to live right next to those stores. Have served me just fine with all my moto and car wrenching.
