Metal vs Dirt

I know this may seem strange because the talk around here lately on the moto forum has been more about stuff that has nothing to do with motocross, but for some reason I really dislike seeing riders hit ramps. It is really annoying when people brag about how great they can whip a bike of a pristine ramp which is the same every time and land on a huge 25ft long decline. In videos, pictures, or in person I think riding on dirt and having to deal with it's malleability is what riding is about.
