Has anyone ridden each that I've mentioned?
The Shop
Find a good used one and pay cash.
Used isn't always bad, but if you can get a new leftover bike for $1000 more than a used bike I would do it in a heart beat. $1000 is the worth the mental relief when the valves start ticking on that "mod" 450. Who the hell needs a Mod 450 anyways?
I've narrowed it to these options. I'm not looking for older gen kaws and have kinda written off the rmz due to the necessary mods I feel would need done.
Oh, and if I but a 17, it'll evening's get A kit stuff.. if I buy new, that definitely won't happen. Just a spring n valve if new..
I have a hard time believing that the newer version of the same platform is worth the extra $.
Pit Row
Buy the 17' Honda if you don't care about electric start.
I plan to make another run at Loretta's in +30 on whatever I buy.
Reset, I'm way past the point in life where I need to pay for lessons. While they certainly could help me, I'm not trying to go pro at 33 with a 3 year old and a wife. More looking to make a fun family vacation for a week in Tennessee.
I'm scared of air, that's part of why my options are what they are. For the
difference in new vs the used I'm considering, I could probably pick up A kit forks. That's why if I buy new, I'll be using stock suspension.. if I but used, that makes kit stuff much more of a possibility.
