So....after recieving a really bummer of a call yesterday , that my 2017 TC 250 wasn't going to be in until probably mid April....I was stuck at a cross roads. I had already made up my mind on buying a 250 and a 125....I just wanted the 250 first. Well....I couldn't get that as of right now , so I bought the last 17' TC 125 Motosports had today. I talked to the guys there and I'll be giving them a visit come around July sometime , and making a deposit on a new 2018 TC 250...and I'll get the very first one out the door! Got my old 06' RM that will do me just fine until then.....and getting this new 125 first , I think will give me some time to adjust to the way the Husky's feel. And by August or whatever month when that 2018 TC 250 comes in.....it should feel pretty natural.

Also....a very good buddy of mine Barron ( you know him on here as BVM111 ) bought my 16' KX450F! Another buddy of mine who is racing in AZ this weekend , brought it down for Barron to pick up , and the timing was perfect. We literally both got our bikes today within a few hours of each other. I not only feel honored in breaking his virginity on the 450's....but on 4 strokes! He's never owned one , and I don't think that bike could have gone to a better dude , whom I know will appreciate and ride the shit out of that thing!

And Barron....I know you'll fall in love with that Kawi , and I'm super stoked that you ended up getting it! I expect a full ride report on that thing!

Some of my pics from a few hours ago....

Another couple of really cool things that came with this 125 is a stock hour meter....way cool! A badass little brief case for the manual , a bunch of needles and jets. I also picked up a HD pro taper chain and a couple extra twin air , air filters.

Before anyone chimes in and says spoke with your wallet is only for 2 strokes, this is my first ever 4 stroke.... ever. I have been a die hard 2 stroke guy since I bought my first bike in 1987!

So this is a new adventure for me as a Vet rider and dont worry my 2006 KX250 will keep the 450 company in the garage when I get home.

Get a stubby vent hose for the fuel tank and KTM frame guards or the frame will look like shit in short order.

Congrats on the new tiddler.

I tried to go buy one last week. But the dealer is sold out of ktm and husky 250s for 17 and I don't want to drive 4 hours to get one. I may put a deposit on an 18. I was going to get a Honda 450 but the more I look at it the more I don't like the looks lol. Let us know how you like it. !

Well....I am not quite sure on that yet. I do kind of have an ace up my sleeve when it comes to Husky / KTM hop-up's and possibly getting my hands on some stuff that isn't available for the public. I also have a guy who has mentioned that he can get this little 125 too scream it's balls off about as fast as I want to go...with some of his connections through some people who have built engines that have won some GP races.

Honestly...I want the little sucker to rip , but the most important thing is to get it running right " for me " and how I want to ride it. I'd love to stick another Scalvini on there , but we'll have to see what will work with the motor.

I still can't beleive I own a 125. Haven't owned one since 1988....so 29 freakin' years! Going to be fun as hell re-learning these things.

As much as I like the Husky and want to know what you think of it, I really must take a minute to applaud you on how nice that RM is. Seriously that thing is nice!

Let us know how they compare to each other.

Congrats guys, some sick bikes
Jeffro ,did you get your air pump for forks?, should be included.
3/5/2017 9:08am
That's sick Jeffro if you ever want to compare it to my 06 yz 144 that Eric gorr did. Look me up I'm in Seattle area mostly only ride practice days but you'll see me out at the old timers race and the dream race.

To jeffro503 that husky is sexy. Curious to find out why you went with the 125 as oppose to the 144?

Either way great choice of bike. You'll love it.
