Daniel Blair mentioned on his podcast about him not racing Indiana over something that happened on the podium. Anyone have any insights?

How does something like this happen in front of all the media and it takes 2 days for the hardcore fans to find out? This sport amazes me sometimes. Mathes is the only one who actually works to get any interesting and unique content week to week. The rest just toss around the same crap. Might as well just release an AP story to all the media outlets.
I will add that Pit Bits is an exception.

To many clingons and wannabes in the moto industry?

The bottle didn't just break in his hands, it broke when he smacked it on the podium after he couldn't get it opened to spray the champagne. Maybe he was thinking it would pop if he knocked it against something, but it broke instead.
It was just an unfortunate turn of events after a great day for Shane. Doc Bodnar was right there to stitch him up.

We wanted the edge for our fantasy teams.*
*Just kidding.
i was waiting for AC to prematurely pop his champagne when Carrie Brolling came over and started chatting him up
Does the individual race promoter/track or mx sports supply the champagne? I've always wondered if it is the same stuff every round and, if so, what it is.

MX Sports supplies it, I saw
them bringing it down at Muddy Creek on the Mule and hiding it under the podium until they were ready to use it
it happened right in front of me. he couldn't pop the cork and someone from from husky made a gesture toward the podium, as in to use the side of the podium to pop the cork. he hit it once and the whole thing exploded. he just kinda walked way super embarrassed looking down at his cut hand. at one point he turned around towards the fans and said "i don't even know what to say". i didn't realize it needed stitches tho.

For the National I was involved with the track was responsible. I personally bought it for the second National a couple weeks in advance and kept them in my office, because someone forgot it the first year and it was a scramble to get 9 bottles of champagne at the last minute.
If I remeber it was just Korbel 750ml, nothing special.
