Max Vohland

Any word on what Happened to him, he was running top 5 in the second moto then all of a sudden fell off, almost look like he lost power or Maybe something was physically bothering him.

I saw his bike getting pushed off. Appeared it was not running. However I do not recall seeing max himself walking around so hopefully it was a bike issue & he was not injured!

There was a brief clip of him on Peacock dicing with Forkner in the fast back section and his bike came to such an abrupt stop his visor hit his front fender. They cut away, never mentioned it again, and his name quickly fell down the rankings.

I can only guess the bike failed like it did at rd 1.

Why so many issues with that bike? I know KTM hasn’t had an in house 250 program in awhile. But damn

I mean not a whole lot of issues… the pala thing was an issue but Ironman I heard was a freak accident with a part. So it’s not really not a big problem. Also, it’s racing and stuff happens sometimes

Other teams have had issues too, I just think the problem is vohland has had super bad luck while running up front. But think about, star has had bikes give out a few rounds and also hampshire had a chain break at high point

I got this via an insider. His fuel line came off with 5 laps to go. Mechanic forgot to tighten it

That’s what I was thinking lol. I heard the clamp they use on the fuel line broke and they lost fuel pressure because of that

They snap together. It is where the inline fuel filter is and if it doesn't get pushed together well enough, it will come apart. I'm not saying that is what happened, but that is how they work.

True. Nothing wrong with KTM’s 250, I’m sure it’s an amazing bike. I just said “that bike” instead of Max’s bike because Kailub Russell had some issues too.

It’s funny that you never see his dad anywhere.

Seems like a lot of other riders their dads are always around at that young age.

I actually find it funny when factory pro riders have their dad at the races in any capacity other than a spectator. Max is not a child.

Tallon is at every race with him.

But you never really see him, not sure why no tv/reporter people don’t talk to him more.

When is the last time you saw a inline fuel filter on a factory bike?

The Austrian bikes have them. It is the disconnect on the fuel line and there is a small replaceable filter in there. This is not the first time that this has happened.

Agreed, it’s a job. Don’t be coddled, you lean on the professionals around you(team). Parents are phenomenal, but they do not need to be in the semi etc.

I think it’s definitely harder on the parent to take a step back because they have been guiding them all the way up to that point.
