That just looked painful. Reminded me when I was at a summer camp and got lost in the woods. It was fixing to be bed time and I didn't wanna get in trouble so I was running fast as I could. Clotheslined myself on a volleyball net right outside a girls cabin. Those girls sure did get a good laugh.

Also, Colton Aeck is a badass. He makes Roczens return look easy.

I'm glad they've got them, having berms is huge!

I'm not quite convinced on the placement or the width of them though. It's not hard to imagine that someone could get cross rutted on the inside and angle back to the outside and miss that net.

Definitely have a lot of potential in reducing rider injury.
A step forward, I hope they continue to develop the idea.

It was funny hearing Daniel throw some shade on his night before podcast calling them the RC memorial nets.

Would have probably been more painful without them, hitting the concrete and all lol

He got worked once the net slapped him to the ground, but man he would have gotten even more wrecked had he made it to the concrete I reckon!

The nets aren't there for the safety of the riders, they are there to save a fan in the crowd from getting landed on.

The in stadium announcer did actually give Matthes credit for coming up with the idea. He also gave Weigant credit too. Lol

The arena announcer gave Steve credit along with Weege and RacerX... Pretty sure it was just a Steve pushing for the nets...haha

Too bad Blair kept calling them the Ricky Carmichael nets a few weeks ago.

I think he was doing it on purpose.

Officially "Pulpnets"

This is not only a big deal for rider safety, but for track layout too. Hopefully we see more nets which means we see more bowl turns with real passing opportunities

Damn, that worked perfectly! He was headed head-first into the concrete from a ways up. That actually would've been really bad had the nets not been there.

Looks like the netting could have a little smaller holes. Imagine getting you leg or arm through that and dangling from the net. Could cause knee or muscle damage.
