This one was really interesting. It makes me wish so bad he came here to race.
You said you were taking requests so here are a few I'd like to hear from:
Ezra Lusk
Greg Albertyn
Sebastian Tortelli
Robbie Reynard
Ernesto Fonseca
Skip Norfolk
Mike Gosselaar
(yup, I'd like to hear from mechanics... weird eh?)
David Vuilleman (sp? you know... that cobra guy)
John Dowd
Steve Lamson
Michael Pichon
James Dobb
There's plenty more.. but I'll cut my list short.
Thanks for doing these things... I'ts nice to work while listening to them.
EDIT: Forgot Larry Ward.

EDIT: Forgot Larry Ward.
Albee- Good one!
Tortelli- Said he'd do one but I never got a reply from a text. He's a great guy, soon for sure.
RR- Maybe wait until he's done?
Ernie- Spoke to him at Vegas about it, he's on the list
Skip and Goose- Not sure how many people want to hear from mechs...
DV12- Did one, search Itunes for Racer X Canada
Dowd- Good one!
Lammy- Soon, real soon.
Pichon- Not sure
Dobb- Good one, calls to Euro are $ man!
L Ward-We're trading messages..
You should know that mechanics have good stories too (you are/were one). They know the behind the scenes stuff at the races. The racers usually focus on the race itself (which is not bad, but I find the things the mechanics, trainers and managers have to say are pretty interesting). Not to mention Gosselaar has worked with Lamson, Lusk, Carmichael, Alessi and Reed. How can he not have good stories?
Anyway... please keep doing them. I'm a huge fan and they make sitting at my desk at work much more tolerable.
The Shop
anyway i like the podcasts too
ryan villopoto would be cool, since he's off anyway and should have time
mike alessi, gettin the scoop on the decision about going out
jimmy button, i hear he's an agent...so you could also go about the sillys season...
those and some euro guys like cairoli or de reuver and such
My requests:
Henry
Matiasevich
Swink
Larocco
Yogi for sure
Larry Ward would be a great one.
Bailey would be excellent.
Check Itunes for Bailey and Bradshaw ones, they're under Racer X Canada.
I think my two favorite ones I've done are Bradshaw cause he was so honest and talked for a long time and JMB because no one has gotten much out of him.
Glover was a surprise, he was great. Very detailed and I got a ton of emails, texts, calls about that him.
Reed, Stewie and Brooks are good ones also!
Agreed on the mechanics, let's hear from them too.
One of the podcasts mentioned that Keith Bowen has some really nutty stories- let's hear them!
It'd also be good to hear from:
Brad Lackey
Danny LaPorte
Gary Bailey
Rex Staton
Kent Howerton
Mike Bell
Super Hunky (while he's still alive!!!)
Dick Burleson
Chuck Sun
Tony D
Jeff Emig
Malcom Smith
Rick Johnson
Heikki Mikkola
Joel Robert
Marty Smith
Jeff Ward
And more...
For my top pick, I've already e-mailed you this idea, but I'll put it out on the forum for comment:
DeCoster, but in 3 segments.
1) The GP years.
2) The Nationals.
3) Team manager years.
I can't think of anyone who's moto career has spanned a longer period of time, and who has had a greater influence in the sport. Interviews with The Man would be super.
I tend to want to hear from the older crowd that's no longer right in the middle of racing. Since comments from today's riders can affect tomorrow's contract negotiations, it seems that they would be less inclined to really lay it all out there. Old guys usually don't give a damn, they're more comfortable in who they are, and with what they've done.
Chuck Norris?
Pit Row
+1 on the mechanics and Dowdy.
Regarding technical expertise, if a person can use a PC and can buy a VoIP headset they're golden.
The guy has been misunderstood in USA and deserve more than what he got. Come on Steve, give the guy a call. I can hook you up with the number if you need.
If so, Matthes could always have Mitch host that one.
walker was a good idea too. you want the guys who are gonna talk, and not hold anything back!
what about TP?
Another vote for Matt Walker too.
