With the backing of the Man and last years results from the last half of the season, he has to be the favorite to win this title. Eli cracks under pressure and could do with a person like Decoster to guild him to the title.

I think it's going to be a great title fight now.

Forget about the riders names for a moment. The dude leading the points by a big margin had a really bad race, which has made this an interesting title fight.
The next few rounds should be good.

you realize tomac is running the no 1 plate right? marvin will push eli a lot for the rest of the year but this time a bike issue cost him, not 'pressure'.

Well, both sphincters just got a little bit tighter thats for sure! This is going to be a fantastic fight to the end. Both these guys are on it hard. Can't wait for Millville-epic track.

Actually no. He still had the points lead going in too moto 2. The bike held up fine in moto 2.

I am not a Tomac fan at all, but he will win this title easily. I expect Eli will go 1-1 at Millville and this will be the last time this Championship is even close. I’d prefer Musquin to win it, but just think Eli is just the fastest in the US right now.

Tomac is usually faster, if not way faster, but sure not immune to crashes, weird problems and various catastrophies...
It's sure gonna be interesting.

Marv loves the ruts and tech, this was a great track for him. Plus a DNF for Tomac, Pretty thin bro. I think its gonna be a good fight but the Favorite? Thin.

Really going out on a limb saying that the points leader will win the championship.

Horrible gate pick and start due to the DNF in moto 1. Shit happens back in the pack. Would've been a completely different story without the bike issue in moto 1.

Marvin’s consistency is amazing this outdoor season. Consistency wins championships. Eli has had lots of mechanicals in the past. I like Marvelous Marvin’s chances!

can't say for sure...still a lot of racing left.. ..any of the bikes could fail or crack under pressure

Eli rides even better when not leading the points and now he's pissed. Buckle up.

So far...

Marv's 4 worst Motos: 16, 18, 18, 20

Eli's 4 worst Motos: 0, 12, 20, 22

Or, to make it even easier to see...

Marv's worst day: 36 points.

Eli's wrist day: 12 points.

Historically and Statistically, when things go bad for Eli...they get REALLY bad. I'm thinking he's gonna break that trend. At the same time, Marvin has picked up the pace and he's historically/statistically faster in the 2nd half of the season.

What I really want? Marv, Eli, Justin, Kenny, Blake ALL racing for wins. I'd like to see Benny up there some more, too. I want Jason ans Deano back...ASAP. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if Coop "found his speed", again, either.

Here's to a fast, surprising and safe season.

Marvin rides well at Millville. He could take that race for sure.

So we're pretending those 25 points missed from the mechanical were less significant than the 14 points lost in moto 2? I'll then assume you're pretending the resulting gate pick from the 1st moto dnf didn't matter at all either.

Anyway yea, with Eli's record of mechanical issues and random crashes, this might be an interesting back and forth series to the end.

It’s definately Eli’s title to lose...but we’ve all see little mistakes cost him plenty, and Marvin is good at taking advantage. If Tomac can keep his head, He can win.

I don't know if Marvin can do it or not but anyone who thinks Tomac dominated last year look closely at these numbers.

Since 2010 the title was won with the following points.

2010: 543
2011: 526
2012: 580
2013: 563
2014: 532
2015: 547
2016: 548

Tomacs points in 2017: 470

In 2011,2013, 2014, and 2016 470 points would have been 3rd. In 2014 it only beats Trey Canard for 3rd by 2 points.

Is it just me or does Eli seem to have a lot of front brake related issues. Dallas SX, Glen Helen, and moto 2 last weekend - seems like more than his fare share.
