Not only that but there is just something to be said about a rider on a 250 smoker coming out of a corner clutching hard and hearing the bike in the meat of the powerband brrrrrruuuupppp trying to be the first to clear a difficult jump section. The riders don't seem to have to work for it these days. Its no longer a question of if the bike will get you over the combo, just if you have the balls to go for it. Hearing the 250 class guys come out of the corner on the south side of Tampa stadium in 99 to get over the first little triple will forever be etched in my mind. Watching the riders size up the jump and just trying to get every last ounce of acceleration out of the bike to get over that triple.. I feel like pro racing is just missing that today. Add to it, the smell being gone and hearing the 4 strokes panic rev constantly and I have no desire to see another race live. I'll save my money, the headaches of the crowd and traffic, and watch it for free at home

This is still the fastest I've seen someone ride a 150 via helmet cam video.

Wal-Mart sponsoring Marv! I miss two strokes in racing. Hopefully MX has some 125's running this yr.

Funny how the onboard view is never quite as fast as it actually is! MM25 in action Cool

The side plates on that bike have a shit load of real estate I love everything Moto but they are borderline ugly.

The craziest part of these videos is the fact that their on stock bikes with stock suspension. But yet we can’t seem to get our stock suspension good enough for our tastes. We’re a funny bunch.

When you're actually in the stands at an SX today, it sounds like this: BRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Not a single moment of punctuation except when everyone shuts down to break for the 1st turn.

So, back in the Goodle Days, did it sound like: WWWWIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! Or were there moments of punctuation in the overall sound? Could you ever hear individual bikes?

Two strokes aren’t gone because they aren’t great bikes. They are gone because they are too dirty
and unreliable. That and Honda is a 4 stroke company. As Honda goes, so goes the industry.

I love two strokes, I wish MotoGP was still 2 strokes, I wish SX/MX at least had a class for 2 strokes, but until people start buying them in larger numbers they will remain a fringe niche in a fringe sport.

Always found that funny. I've seen pros jump on all stock bikes and not have a problem, but see all kinds of guys nowhere near that speed talking about how they need a kit or cv set ups.
