I saw the incident and he was definitely off the track but that's a mistake anyone can make, and it seemed to me that he realized his mistake and even backed off a bit. No harm no foul IMO.

I was thinking of the same incident, I just didn't notice him doing it on the last double there. Definitely makes me rethink the whole "realizes his mistake and backed off thing".

what other top 3 guy have you seen go inside the track markers on multiple races? I actually do like marvin and his incredible riding skill. they need to do figure out something for the corner markers. a padded pole. Maybe bring back the banners. go inside and get penalized with
a a banner wrapped in your brakes..lol

I was thinking today how many weeks He gets to ride outside the markers multiple times and nothing happens about it.

Doubt you will see more padded poles after the Jesse Nelson crash - for good reason. Actually handing out penalties would fix it if it really is that much of an issue.

Nelson's crash had nothing to do with a padded pole, he hit one of those yellow plastic square things which are still used at every national.

I know it was the plastic square things you see, but adding more obstacles similar to those isn't the answer was my point. Just dock positions and riders will be more careful. JMHO
