I saw the incident and he was definitely off the track but that's a mistake anyone can make, and it seemed to me that he realized his mistake and even backed off a bit. No harm no foul IMO.

Don't think that is the occasion(s) op is referring to.

In the rollers before the finish line jump MM25 jumped to the inside of the markers multiple times.

Edit. Moto 1

I was thinking of the same incident, I just didn't notice him doing it on the last double there. Definitely makes me rethink the whole "realizes his mistake and backed off thing".

He was using that line more than once. Musquin is a class act off the bike, just cannot stand the way he rides.

what other top 3 guy have you seen go inside the track markers on multiple races? I actually do like marvin and his incredible riding skill. they need to do figure out something for the corner markers. a padded pole. Maybe bring back the banners. go inside and get penalized with
a a banner wrapped in your brakes..lol

I was thinking today how many weeks He gets to ride outside the markers multiple times and nothing happens about it.

Not hating on him just doesn't seem right.

Doubt you will see more padded poles after the Jesse Nelson crash - for good reason. Actually handing out penalties would fix it if it really is that much of an issue.

Nelson's crash had nothing to do with a padded pole, he hit one of those yellow plastic square things which are still used at every national.

I'm failing to see the issue here. Both video links show him jumping onto the marker.

I know it was the plastic square things you see, but adding more obstacles similar to those isn't the answer was my point. Just dock positions and riders will be more careful. JMHO

Minute 26:27, Marvin just a bit to the inside, just a little, lol.

|

There's something happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear.

8/19/2018 12:53 AM

Haha fucken hell! If he did it every lap he'd have gained a foot of track advantage and about 1/2 a second
definitely worth the concern

why am I reading this? ..... Oh christ, now I'm posting...... shiiiiiiiit!!

Some would call that outside. Is this what this thread is about? Because IMO, that's a non issue, and clearly not a Marv only line.
