Stamping it!! Marv will be MX champ this year.

Before you laugh, hear my reasoning.

1. Eli, Ken and Cooper, will be battling for the SX title until very late in the season thus allowing them very little time to test for outdoors.
2. The 3 of them will be physically and mentally whooped due to a tight SX series.
3. Marv will be able to focus 100% on outdoors, not having to worry about SX testing. His bike will be dialed in better than he has ever had going into motocross.
4. Marv will be fresh both physically and mentally.
5. Marv will be hungry after missing SX

Marv is always right there battling for the MX title, and I think the 5 things I listed above will be enough to push him to the top spot.

Now back to my 5th cup of coffee this morning.

I voted 2. but i think it can be Tomac's year again. But you may be onto something, indeed IF Tomac wraps up the sx title, he may feel like a huge relief and so get the usual hangover which could mean less beast modes during the summer. We'll see !

Maybe
Or Tomac wins
Or Kenny wins
But I really wouldn't be surprised to see Marvin take the MX title.

He said on french tv he will comeback when he is 100% ready, and it's still not sure he can comeback at 1st round of MX.

Tomac loves the outdoors and considers it his favorite championship as he’s stated several times so I don’t see him coming in flat regardless of supercross and he usually has them covered outdoors!!

Skipping SX to get ready for MX will help Marvin about as much as skipping MX to get ready for SX helped Mooky a few years back.

The counter argument, which I think is stronger, is that both Eli and Kenny will have the valuable seat/race time that cannot be duplicated, which will give them an advantage both physically (seat time) and mentally (their head is in the game because they have been in race mode). Perhaps just as importantly is that Marvin has never beat either Kenny or Eli for a premier outdoor title.

My magic 8 ball keeps saying, "Try again later". Let's see who's healthy after SX and how Marvin's rehab goes.
