I read through a few posts here on VitalMX and a few posters have commented that Musquin is still getting booed at the track over the Tomac incident in SX. Is that true? I've watched the motocross races online and you can't really hear the spectators, but for a few select sections, and all you generally hear is cheering.
Some posters here claim it's effecting him mentally.

Getting to point of just be bullies now..
Face it, people suck. And some of those people like MX. Moosecan is a good guy and I'm glad he's here. If he wasn't, those gaps back to the next rider would be yuuuuuge.
In general, we tend to like foreigners who come over to race in the US and do well here.
I was a fan of the guy for the first several years he was in the USA. Seems like a nice kid...
Now, I find myself hoping for people to pass him and smiling when they get it done.
It started at RedBud a few years back when he would look over and turn 90° across the track before the leap to block Cooper Webb. (Ok, 90°? Yeah I am exaggerating that a lot).
Each passing year, I've seen more and more examples of this kind of riding with Marvin.
The blocking and cross-jumping is subtle, for sure, but it's there.
Marv's tactic is a different thing from what we sew with Ken Roczen at Glen Helen and Thunder Valley. Ken mostly had the pace to lead Tomac and kept it in a line that didn't allow Eli to go by where he was a little faster. The major difference is that Marvin will go across the track and actually slow himself down to block someone. It's like mud-slinging in politics, it works but nobody likes to see it.
In Supercross, the "cat-and-mouse" thing has a little more legitimacy. Still, it slows the pace down and usually just escalates to a takeout, or a 3rd rider catching and passing both the cat and the mouse. Most importantly, it usually involves lines on the ground, in bowl turns, etc.
Honestly, I thought the takeout move on Tomac this year was fine, but Marvin lost something when he didn't just own it. He should have grabbed the mic and said "Hell yeah I took him out, a race-win was on the line!".
People will argue that blocking is part of racing. I cannot disagree with that but I don't have to like the guys who do it. Most important, no rule in the book says that guys like Marvin have to get out of the way and give up the race.
Pit Row
During the rider intros
The manic announcer guy yells at the top of his lungs, From COLORADO!!! ELI TOMAC!!!!!!!!! - and the crowd goes nuts, of course.
Then the announcer says - And from FRANCE! Long pause, long setup, wait for it...wait for it - Marvin Musquin!
It's like a setup for an all-out war against France. It's almost hard NOT to boo!
