If he’s on a PC he’s going to be hard to beat outdoors. If you think about it who can really beat him next year outdoors over a 12 round series?. Cooper might win some overalls but over a season he isn’t consistent. Forkner if he can stay healthy?

Maybe a few races. But over a 12 race series... I doubt it.

Are these sources reliable? J Mart on the new kx250 would be a powerhouse setup

JMart on PC would be a force to be reckoned with. Outdoors barring any major injuries or DNFs, he would win most likely.

Now he won’t be out powered by the yamahas At Millville you could tell if he had an extra few ponies he could have gotten The 14..... he rode the wheels off that Honda all season.

While I totally think the star bike is better, you can’t honestly think that it made the difference in the championship. This is not a 1a and 1b situation. DF was faster and not because of the bike.

I think it has been making a difference in the championships since '14 including both of Martin's. Outdoors they've won all but '17 (ZO16) and '19 (AC9) and indoors they've won the west coast every year since '15 (except for '17).

They earned all those titles and they're well deserved. Kawi came in close 2nd quite a few times btw.

I honestly think it made the difference. Put JMart on a Star Yamaha and I’d bet the title was a lot closer. That star Yamaha was a lot better than that Geico Honda. JMart worked twice as hard just to stay with the Yamaha’s.

So JMart was the best starter of them all with an average of 4,3. The next best was Cooper with 4,9. Look at Ferrandis.

You guys still think the bike difference was massive? Interesting that you could be the best starter on a bike you have to work twice as hard on.

If Jmart was on a yamaha, his average start position would be much better I guarentee it. Only a couple holeshots were not a yamaha. How many times did we see 2-3 yzs start up front?

I didn't see any green bikes out front though, so not sure what you mean?

Dude, PC had a B class team this year compared to the other guys. They all rode their balls off but none of their guys were top tier compared to Star or Geico.

The start isn't just HP...if it was DF would've been holeshotting all year. Notice once he spent time working on technique he was suddenly up front every start??

Of course, it's a combination of lots of things. But you don't end up being the best starter out of all riders after 18 gate drops on a slow or shitty bike that was holding you back from winning the title.

About 1/3 thru the season Df changed his set up more towards the starts. And began nailing them. He gave up some speed elsewhere to get better starts.

Hope JM6 goes green. Always a fan of Mitch and how he operates PC with integrity.

Star bikes look better in most areas. HP and torque, as well as handling. They look solid as can be in all the rough stuff. JM6 Honda looked good finally at the last round 2nd moto

Both top riders in the sport.
Both proven championship caliber.
Yamaha 250's are clearly a step above the field.
Looking forward to next year in both classes, with stacked fields.
As fans we all win.
