Honda has no 50, 65 or 85. The 150 is only allowed in the older 85 classes. KTM owns the 65 class and has a bunch of riders on 50's and 85's also.

Yamaha owns the "PW" class, literally its 100% Yamaha's in that class.

What would be interesting is to get just the big bike market share...

I agree, it's not exactly shocking that Honda and Suzuki have the lowest of the main OEM's with all the mini classes. I'm more interested in seeing what 4 other bikes are being ridden out there.

Once the kids get their mind set on a certain color/brand....it becomes more certain they will lean that way for years to come. 40% of the bikes are KTM/Husky....boom.
No matter how many of them are 50-85...expect the trend to continue into the big bikes for years to come.

I know of two riders personally that are on TM's. Masterpool has a moto win on one and Mark Stone has a 6th on one.

what is market share of guys not "sponsored" by any of the brands???? who actually bought bikes from a shop without any ties??? that is the only thing that really is of value

I disagree. My son rode a 50SX for a couple of years. After trying to keep that thing working, I was happy to never see an orange bike in my garage again! LOL

Honda has not won a single moto so far and has one bike on the podium in all classes. They don't have many big bikes racing this week.

Trying to bring a Honda to any of the limited classes are a joke as much as I love them hopefully the 2018 will change that some

How is that shocking Suzuki has very little support and their bikes have been unchanged for years and the Honda and stock form is uncompetitive .the Kawasaki KTM and Huskies have a huge Advantage especially in stock classes.

There are 3 250 stock classes. 250 B, 250 C and 250 C Jr.

Yamaha = 62
KTM = 29
Kawasaki = 19
Husky = 9
Honda = 5
Suzuki = 1

So far Husky, KTM and Yamaha have the moto wins.

Kids/Families get hooked on brands and stay with them. This is called brand loyalty. The numbers don't lie. KTM and Kawasaki could sell little bikes at a loss because it equals big market share in the future. Classic marketing 101.

Suzuki and Honda both deserve to be at the bottom of the list. Hondas big bikes have struggled for quite a bit and they cut off their nose to spite their face with the 150. I realize that the 17 450 is better than its previous models and the 18 250 looks promising but the last 8 years were pretty rough on them. Suzuki has been and still is an absolute joke as far as mx racing goes. No major amateur support. Outdated is to nice of a term for their 85 and the haven't done squat with their big bikes in almost 10 years! I support what ktm / white ktm is doing. Start them at 5 on your bike keep them all through their amateur career. Those are the only two brands that can do that.

I'm not sure what the discrepancy is, but I counted 33 Honda's in the vet classes alone.

If you look at my post, you will see this is just from the 3 250 Stock classes. Just pointing out that Yamaha has a foot hold on the 250 classes

The OP's tally accounted for TM's but there is an Other section and there's apparently 4 of them.. curious to know what they are.

This caught my attention before OP posted the actual numbers. Every time I check the live feed it appears to be a sea of orange and blue, with some green sprinkled in. I thought I had accidentally tuned in to an amateur cross country race.

funny stuff. go to a national enduro and check out those numbers.

couple years ago we did our first one, we have honda's

there was only 6-8 others out of 600 some machines.

guess that giving riders "choices" does matter.
