Did anyone else catch the charge Garrett Marchbanks put on in the second moto of 450B class this weekend at the Millcreek SE Regional? After a horrible start and crossing the finish line in 18th on the first lap, he was clearly the fastest rider on the track finishing the 5 lap race in 2nd.

Not only was he the fastest rider in that race, he was several seconds faster that any A class rider the entire weekend! The kid turned consistent lap times og 1:58 and 1:59, not only in that race, but was sub 2:00 in other moto as well. No A class rider was able to get below the 2:03 mark all weekend! I see him being very hard to beat coming into the National.. And next year? Hmmm..

Top B class riders have notoriously been faster than A guys even at Loretta's. The year Forkner was a 250 B rider at Loretta's he Sexton and Cantrell were the fastest guys there IMO. Mitchell Harrison was slightly slower and riding 250A. Not taking anything away from Garrett as I have watched him since the 85 Jr class and agree with his speed being there but we won't see the proof until he lines up with the big dogs.

What is with Garret and starts? At the Mideast regional (at Ironman) he was the fastest B-rider on the track,, but fought from midpack or worse each moto, it seemed.

Crown him!!!

I kid. I remember when he used to train at ClubMX a few years ago. The kid is no doubt really really fast, but I've learned to keep all the amateur stuff in perspective.

Marchbanks is the real deal and he'll be tough to beat this year.

kind of cool but back when he and Pierce were starting out i was still racing and i'd go to the track with Pierce and his dad all the time. they were on little KTM 50's at the track, nothing special just a couple little young dudes that liked riding dirt bikes. fast forward to present time and they are two of the fastest amateurs in the country, one Monster and the other RedBull, and both from Utah to boot. pretty amazing. can't wait to see what happens at LL this year, it's such a stacked class.

i rode with Pierce last month in the desert and the kid just flat hauls ass. i told his dad to put him in an offroad race and see how he does, my guess is he'd be at the front of the A class in the desert. unreal technique.

No one else in the SE coyld keep up with him. Not sure what the issue with starts is but if he gets out front, no reason he cant sweep his claases.

Marchbanks is an amazing talent on a motorcycle. The 2nd 250B moto at Millcreek showed why Kawasaki has invested in his future, but talking to him you soon realize that he's a little off center. Not sure if it's a good thing or not.

No wonder why nobody wants to advance from C class. You go from just getting comfortable to trying to race the next big thing.

Fastest on 2 wheels? Where do people come up with this shit?
I speaking about current Amateurs.. And do you think being 4-5 seconds a lap faster then the fastest A class rider, not fit this category?

Watch Seth Hammaker too. He can run with Marchbanks and is new to all this. He will be in the mix I think and he is a great kid too.

Carter Halpain. Lil bro is going to make waves at Loretta's this year. He's already been racking up B class championships this year across the board and beating Marchbanks

There's 8- 10 kids in the B class this year that could win on any given race day. Some have a little better shot, but any one of them could be having an "on" day.
