AMart might look a little better on a "speedway" track than he has in the stadiums so far but I think Marchbanks will impress and definitely out ride Alex.

A-Marts seat to ass height gives zero room for a mistakes. Hard to ride that perfect when you consistently start 15th +

I said in a thread earlier in the year I think Alex is better than Marchbanks on a 450 at the moment so at least I’ll be able to shove my foot in my mouth or eat my humble pie.

I think he has more top end speed than Alex but can’t seem to keep it upright. See: the DNQ earlier this year in the massively depleted west coast field.

I like the story line though, definitely gives you more to look out for!

I think it all comes down to how comfortable he is in the 450. He has been VERY frustrated with the ClubMX 250 due to many bike issues and curious how often he rides the 450. Hoping he does well!

Curious, when have those issues hurt his results?

I know he had a DNQ, was that bike issue related?

Phil was just on Pulp talking about how great the bike is.

I believe he’s talking about mechanical issues rather than performance of the bike itself.

I think marchbanks should be more suited to a 450 and have more potential then then amart.
But he just can't seem to ride a good race from start to finish. The dude should be around 3-5 in 250 each weekend but he goes 4th next week 14th and that will make it more difficult in the 450 class.
I expect him to make the main. If he rides good he should be around 11th infront of the Suzuki's and amart etc. Or down to 18th if he doesn't.

The night he didn’t make the main it was bike issues in heat race and then seemed like it was not 100% fixed for the LCQ.

He crashed in the first turn of that LCQ and caught up to 5th IIRC. Not bike related.

He has a chance of beating Ken Roczen...
I'd put money on that

I see him easily getting a top 10. He is way bigger than the 250f riders who look like horse jockeys, that he has been racing against. We'll find out tomorrow. I think he has Amart covered no problem.

Easily? No.
He ain't beating tomac, ando, webb, sexton, mookie, barcia, ferrandis, marv, and Kenny is he rides somewhat decent. That's nine guys.
To get 10th he has to beat Wilson, brayton, mcelrath. I don't see him beating all them but he should be close to them. But most likely he will be around hartranft, friese and bogle etc.

Agreed. I may have gotten a little in front of myself. But he did win Daytona on a 250, granted it was a PC Kawi, but he still won. He is a bigger guy and with a 450 I feel he might do pretty well. A 450 doesn't lack power and if he won on a 250, finishing top 10 in the big boy class won't be much of a surprise...to me at least. I'm just bummed J Mart is out. I could see him beating Wilson, Mcelrath no problem. Hell even Brayton.
I'd like to hear the story of what went down between him and Mitch. Kid needs to be on a Factory bike. He must of really done something stupid. Motoconcepts should pick him up.

I don’t think the MCR Honda 250 is any better than the Club Yamaha 250.

I was about to say, isn't this the 2nd or 3rd issue this year like this for the Club team?

Right I think there Mika but not throwing them under the bus. People said it was sharp edges on the mounts clamps. I know Joey had another bad crash from them breaking

It wasn’t the bars, the clamp bolts broke.
