Thanks OC i love these and i think it's even grittier as a 1 man show. Hope he gets some luck soon as I am quick becoming a fan of his and find myself rooting to see him in the races now, even to the point where I wish Emig would give the poor f'er a mention.

Just watched all three episodes and have to say that any kid who listens to the Talking Heads...make that sings my favorite Talking Heads song is alright in my book!

How much should he have made with his 21st finish? Just curious from a biz perspective seeing how much dedication he has.
Also these are great videos. Wish they were longer. All I know is that no matter what happens with his MX aspirations he has a great girl, a great outlook and will always do well in life. Great kid. I really wish the best for him. Look forward to more.

This Kid should be a sponsors dream. Hes nice, humble and just an all around good person. On top of that with his video series he makes his sponsors get more attention then any rider outside the top 7. He fast too he just cant catch a break id like to see him on some quality equipment and let him go to town. Sign him and tell him to keep his weekly videos going. The advertising exposure is through the roof.

As tough as it is to be a privateer, I still can't help but think, damn what a life. Good luck to Derek, and hope he makes some money this year in addition to "living the dream".

I have been getting tons of msgs from people asking how can they help Derek? and i was just reading all the comments on the youtube page for the vid. Dang they really need to set something up for him! a simple paypal account to help get him to the next round, pay for gas / food etc. I dont have any contact info, but i will check into it.

I just love the vibe from him, how can you not? and these vids are further proof you dont need some fancy editing etc. Just have to be shooting the right person/subject!

It doesnt get much better than this Cool

Incredibly good attitude. Still able to crack a smile after a 21-37 and a trip to the Asterisk rig. Pulling for him this weekend.

Is that his second time with a gash under his right eye in only two rounds??!!
