According to his IG post he's not doing outdoors.. What a bummer..

malcolmstewart - What a crazy season it has been! I couldn’t be happier @jgrmx stepped up and gave me the opportunity to race the full SX season, along with allowing me to stay at the training facility in North Carolina. Unfortunately I hate saying my goodbye’s because it feels so good to work with such a great group of people, but the deal with JGR was SX only. Regrettably I will not be racing outdoors, not because I don’t want to, but because the opportunity just wasn’t there. On the bright side, I do have some cool things lined up this summer, keep an eye out and I will fill you guys in soon!

Hmm....

Well , that is a bummer. He was just starting to look better out there , and now he'll be gone another 8 months from racing.

Makes no sense. I can only assume he has ridiculous expectations from a team or he just is not that into it. Surely he puts himself on the back foot for supercross again.

Wish I could say I'm surprised...

Bummer deal because I really wanted to see him outdoors again, but guess we have to wait another year... or more

What a fucking tease. I thought it was finally official that he'd be lining up. Gutted.

I think you can translate that as Bogle will be ready for the start of the outdoor season.

Not having a fit 20 min Supercross in himself and take again a whole summer off, sounds like a good plan..

And he will wonder why he is not having a ride at the end of this year.

Bogle or no Bogle. JGR was giving him a bike to ride on his own . He has BTO backing . He was going to do Sx on his own . But somehow was not ready . Then he got the JGR ride . So he could do 18 sx rounds on his own But can not do 12 MX with a bike and help. Ok

Who cares "cool things on summer" if not racing..
There will be Factory bikes without riders by second round.. why not just take his own racebike and start season.. just cant understand..

^^^Exactly!! I thought this was Phil's role for the first few races??

I hate saying anything negative about ANY rider but I feel like if Mookie wanted to go outdoors he'd bust his ass and make it happen. If every privateer had his attitude there would only be 10-12 riders on the gate.

With his work ethic I don't see his career going much longer. I would live in a van to race pro outdoors any day over my job. Im sure when he is 35 he will regret all the races he missed.

Any else get the feeing that we've seen the last of Malcolm as a professional racer? As hard as it's been for him to (not) make it to A1 the past couple years - and the complete shunning of the outdoors - I just don't see more gate drops in his future.

Yes i have and many many others aswell. Its called investing in yourself or your own company. Thats what you have to do if you want to succeed.

but Malcolm gets paid so this whole argument is a moot point.

He DID get paid. He has no employment this summer right? In that case he has to invest in himself and get out there and show his worth. Many riders have done that, Barcia and Wilson just to name two. I love Malcolm, but to be honest it feels like he just doesnt want to do the outdoors. And thats ok. But dont expect to get a factory ride.

I agree. If I could race professionally, you're darn right I'd live in a van to race!

I have pulled for him over the past few years... but man what a disappointment this is. You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. You guys saying he isn’t getting paid have never had to fight for what you want... look at Barcia, look at deano... jump off your brothers coat tails swallow your pride and go do some work son and EARN it!
