Unless Mookie is willing to walk from Seven, this could be a grievous career mistake. He should have put in another year or two at MC....continued to elevate his game, and a factory deal to take him to the end of his career might have opened up for him.

Now, he is left with two bad choices. #1 leave Seven, as the only good deal out there would come with a gear deal. #2 Go self funded Privateer. He did that once and it was a disaster.

word from Matthes was that the relationship between team and Mook soured. issues with running a "less than factory" was mentioned.

and him holding tight to 7even will keep him from most teams (ie non factory) as many have gear deals built into the team ala RMA/KTM
