Racing starts in one week and Husqvarna has no PR about Stewart injured? Why they always hide things until last minute? Someone will not buy energydrink or Seven gear next week if they come out this week with info?

Like Roczen, Mookie not finishing the 450 outdoor season was/is a foregone conclusion. Who has raced outdoors more recently, Mookie or Dungey?

The overwhelming majority of Shanes wins have been in SX. He has 2 wins outdoors (the topic of the thread) to RJ’s 3, and Shane’s been racing a year longer. Savatgy on paper buries them both, but he’s coming off a knee injury, so he’s a bit iffy to me.
RJ tends to over ride a 250, so personally, I think the extra power of the 450 will calm him down a bit. If it doesn’t then he stands a good chance of ending his season early, but I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Of all the factory 250 guys for nearly the last eight to ten years you could make the case that RJ is second or third tier level. Even in his Husky years he never been a title contender especially after the first four rounds in SX. Outdoors even more so.

1. props to Vital team for beginning to create this content that contains NEWS and not waiting until the team's simply release PR about it. THIS is something this sport has desperately needed.

2. if Malcolm is not actually hurt and is simply taking the summer off, I'll lose a ton of respect for the guy. He had a great SX season, and if he is using the knee as an excuse to miss yet ANOTHER summer, then he'll never shake his "half in/half out" cloud that has hung around him his entire career when he spends his summers fishing instead of training/racing.

Beat me to it - the first part at least. Even with the "this is speculation" disclaimer, reporting on stories like this is a welcomed change. Great job, ML.

I don't know if he's hurt, but I do know that bass fishing is hot all over the southern US right now. Spring bite is on.

There is no such thing as coincidence.

Damn... Just run Shane for the full season. Have Max Anstie fill in until Wilson is back. RJ has his best shot in 250 this year.
It's sure hard to imagine Wilson being healthy in time to come back for the MX series this year. That injury sounds too nasty. (I am not willing to watch the video.)

I don't think it's reasonable to paint Roczen as a guy who ducks outdoors.

He raced every round of the motocross series from 2012 through 2021, except he missed all of 2017 when he shattered his arm, and he skipped 2020 due to covid and/or his reaction to the lime from the San Diego Supercross.

Any chance Stewart had a clause in his contract that if he finished top 3 in Supercross that he didn't have to ride outdoors?

On another note, ML you need some cool memorabilia on those shelves behind you not a box with a bar code. How about some classic memorabilia, you gotta have a hook up of some sort?

Motocross by far, SX is only harder on the body when you crash

Does that need surgery or time?

But way more crashes happen in SX than MX. It’s inherently more dangerous due to the razor thin margin of error.

It’s 9 month recovery time after surgery. If he has a ACL injury then he’s not going to have good results at outdoors and that’s what they pay him for.

Yep, defiantly flirting with disaster on a SX track.

That take out was Malcom’s way of getting out of MX. I’m sure he bought Barcia a beer after that.

It's been a while since my kids played with Lego, but if I remember the costs correctly, ML could probably sell that Millennium Falcon and go on an eBay shopping spree to fill those shelves with RC and Stew gear.

I should have been clearer on Kenny. Due to his weird back out of supercross this season you may suppose his backing out of outdoors as a foregone conclusion as well.

You got that right, I spent so much money on all the lego sets for my boys and there is a fortune sitting on the shelfs of my storage room. I bet they have 60 different complete sets with boxes and instructions
