Damn... Just run Shane for the full season. Have Max Anstie fill in until Wilson is back. RJ has his best shot in 250 this year.

Maybe RJs best shot but what makes you think he could best either Lawrence bro over the full series?

I don't think we've seen that he can. He makes too many mistakes. But he has shown the speed. More maturity makes this his best shot... Just my opinion.

Zero shock on Stewart out for outdoors. Stoked on RJ for 450’s!

Take not everyone. You DO NOT have to prove yourself on a 250 to get a shot on a 450.

My guess is this was the main damage and the Barcia incident finished it off.

Bummer to hear Mookie will most likely be out. He's been riding his best ever so that sucks.

On another note, ML you need some cool memorabilia on those shelves behind you not a box with a bar code. How about some classic memorabilia, you gotta have a hook up of some sort?

I was hoping to see Mookie give Justin a little payback, guess I'll have to wait until SX23.

Honestly, I have very little memorabilia. I don’t ask for stuff.

What in the happy hell are you blathering about? RJ has won outdoors and indoors on a 250. Seems he's proven himself just fine.

So RJ is not the new Martin Davalos? 26 is the new 17 I guess. Props to him on getting out there in the mens class. Should be a top 12 guy.

RJ was on his 250F today at GH late in the day. Bike sounded a little rough around the edges.

Quite a few factory Husqvarna trucks there, I didn't see any of #12 McElrath though, maybe I missed him?

Well the helmet is a good start at least. Maybe a team can hook you up at some point. Die cast motos would look cool.

I will say this:

KTM lineup looks amazing. AP7 is back from injury, Dungey is back as well, Antonio is coming state side to throw himself into the mix.

I’m feeling pretty damn good this season considering some hopefuls are already out.

I left at 2pm and RJ was still riding the 450 then and McElrath was riding when I left but may have finished up right after.

They had RJ, Shane and Stilez riding today.

In my opinion RJ will be a better 450 rider outdoors. Amazing how fast riders are out for outdoors these days.

We left at 145, must have walked right past you.

I was parked next to Jay Clark and Hartranft.

We'll be in the same spot Thursday.

Rj has 3 outdoor wins and 1 sx win in 8 season. With a best overall of 4th b4 this sx season.
Every other factory rider has a title of some sort.
Both of the injury replacements savagty and mcelrath have never won a title but both have come close multiple times and both have many more wins Shane has about 8-9 and joey has about 12.
Some riders can be better on a 450 then 250 but I don't think it looks that good for Hampshire. He will pretty much be the last factory guy each weekend.

The overwhelming majority of Shanes wins have been in SX. He has 2 wins outdoors (the topic of the thread) to RJ’s 3, and Shane’s been racing a year longer. Savatgy on paper buries them both, but he’s coming off a knee injury, so he’s a bit iffy to me.
RJ tends to over ride a 250, so personally, I think the extra power of the 450 will calm him down a bit. If it doesn’t then he stands a good chance of ending his season early, but I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Could you at least ask for a table that doesn’t come up to your chin before the next time you record one of these videos again?

A large percentage of Rj's crashes are pushing the front end.
I'm obviously a way lower level then some1 like rj.
But I found the biggest difference between a 250f and 450f is the inertia, the 450 u can't throw it into the corner like a 250. U have to brake a touch earlier, corner a touch smother and make sure your not pushing thru the rut.
So rj is either going to lose the front a lot more. Or he is going to settle a touch and stop crashing so much.
