Aside from the easy answer of not riding the thing, what’re some things you do to preserve that showroom glisten?
Any favorite bike care products? It’s offseason baby let’s argue nuance that doesn’t matter.

Rinse off bike, get 98% of the dirt off or so just with water
Fill 2 spray bottles with. 90% water 10% laundry detergent
Spray down every inch of the bike. Even the tires under neath, fenders everything except maybe the seat and fork seals etc.
Let it sit a few minutes while you put the spray bottles away and what not. Come back rinse it off and watch the stains just wash away.
Oil the chain after, wipe down the plastics, guards etc with spray wax.
Sit back and look on in amazement.
The Shop
Just dont run it in the mud and let it sit. Wash every ride.
One of the other best investments I made was. $30 leaf blower to dry the bike. Up in NE it gets cold and the sun and breeze just won’t dry the bike in the fall/winter/spring. 5 minutes with leaf blower she’s ready to put away nice and dry.
Grease and oil don't respond to Shout like dirt does. I've found that engine de-greaser in the aerosol cans are cheap and work well to break down exhaust drool, chain lube overspray, etc. Follow up with Shout, end with Lemon Pledge (the furniture cleaner).
Since several on here have recommended Shout, I think I will give that a try. Especially if it is easier on anodized parts.
The main thing on keeping your scoot fresh is wash it right away. On race day mine gets pressure washed 3 times. After practice, and after each moto. If you hop on a dirty machine, you are just grinding the dirt in. Acts like sandpaper.
I see Shout has a gel formula. You cats using the regular formula?
Stay warm...
Spray can of cleaner/ polish I also borrow from work.
I clean my bike and hose it down with WD-40. Has worked well since 1976. Just throw a towel over your discs, something us drum brake lovers never have to worry about
Pit Row
2) I've been using aluminum cleaner and red scotch brite pads on all the aluminum parts.
3) Wash and dry every inch
4) Every so often (10hours) take off the tank and plastics to clean the dirt build up.
5) WD40 or Engine shine after wash
6) SC1
