Does anyone have an RMZ 2010-2014 with a Magura Hydro Clutch? I just received one from a friend that was for a yz450f. The stock cable guide mount for my '11 RMZ obviously does not match up with the slave cylinder so I am currently trying to figure out how to mount it and make it usable. Is there a special mount that Magura provides for each model to allow the slave cylinder to mount to the engine? I cannot find any information online regarding this or any RMZ matura cable guides.

I bought one years ago and had a local machine shop fab up a bracket to make it work on my yz. Loved it till I went down and broke it.

I've had one on my 12 and 15 rmz, you will need a bracket that the slave mounts on. This is the only guy in the states that I've found who can gets parts from Magura.

I had one on my rm250 and its the same part number as the yz250.

I mounted it to my rmz450, and made a little extension to make the extra length to the actuator arm.

Ive seen picture of the "correct" setup, that employs the same slave cylinder in the stock cable mount, but the pin to the actuator arm was significantly longer.

Ive also heard stories of an alternative bracket.

I really think the alternative bracket, but ive never seen it.....this has to be the best way since when you use the OEM cable mount to hold the slave cylinder, it sticks out and is very vulnerable to damage.

If you find a bracket, post back because I want one!!!

When I bought the magura unit for my RMZ it came with a replacement mount designed for the slave cylinder. Sounds like you need to fab something or call magura.

Thanks for the replies, I will call amgura tomorrow and see if I can get something. If not I will have to fab one up or have someone do it for me as I have limited machine access. Kinda crazy how no one on ebay, amazon, or Craigslist seems to have this bracket

To anyone still interested in this topic or having problems finding the correct info on your hydro clutch, I finally got in contact with Magura directly. I have been talking with Peter Ubellacker (Peter@magurausa.com) and placing orders with him for anything I need. Magura actually makes a universal mount that attaches at the cap of the slave cylinder with an adjustable screw. I was able to get his for just $12 (you can see it on slave template 2). So if you need any brackets or have any question shoot peter an email, he replies same business day.

Just ordered the universal attachment since I have a 2011 rm. and it appears my slave cylinder is for a crf. Didn't know the slave cylinders differed so much but each has a specific actuator length. The universal attachment adds 50-75mm of extension to any slave cylinder which should be plenty.

Yep, you have to have the right slave cylinder length. I bought one for my rmz and ended up putting it on my new crf. Had to rig the actuator arm a little. If it isn't done at the correct length you will constantly have your clutch spinning and burnin through clutches like toilet paper.

Thanks for including the email address for peter I have a Hydro clutch for my 2011 CRF 450 and didn't even think it was possible to install it on my new bike a 2015 KX 450. Thanks again.

The zip ties keep the cable from rubbing the mount.
